Children 18:3 | Posted October-05-2009
At first I didn't even think they were Christian. The cover of the cd makes them look creepy and emo. But their music is amazing. The words to the songs are pure poetry. I love how the girl and the guy switch off with the vocals so you get a variety. My favorite song on here personally is "Search Warrant". It has that girl power type sound and the lyrics are very well written. I love this band and I can't wait for their next cd to come out.

WOW. | Posted September-26-2009
This band is KRAZY with a capital K. Their music is upbeat, party-ish, and fun. The first song that got me hooked was "Love Addict". Their songs are unique from any other Christian music I've heard because they actually make me want to dance.

Welcome to the Diverse City | Posted July-30-2009
In this cd, tobyMac welcomes us to a place called Diverse City. It starts with a song called "Hey Now" which is fitting for a first song because it pretty much talks about him being back. We didn't see the last of him with Momentum. He's just getting started.
First off, I liked the songs "Catchafire" and "Ill-M-I" because they had an awesome beat. Then there was "Gone" which had a catchy tune and a storyline within the lyrics. "Burn For You" was also an interesting song that was really catchy. I liked "The Slam" because although it was a little hardcore, it actually had some good lyrics and was kind of catchy.
And finally, there's "Diverse City" which kind of became his anthem. I liked the upbeatness up it; it's a song you've just got to get up and dance to. But it also has some meaning to it:
"We will never become that shining city on a hill
until we truly become a diverse city."
It tells how we should accept all races and skin colors because we are all brothers and sisters of Christ. I think that is what tobyMac is all about.
My favorite song would have to be "Gotta Go" just because it takes skill and creativity to create a song out of just a few phone calls.
Overall I'd say this was a great accomplishment for tobyMac and one of his best cds yet.

Momentum | Posted July-23-2009
After seperating from dc Talk, tobyMac wanted to show the world that he was still continuing with his music. This was the introduction to his new sound, blending rap, rock and hip hop all into one cd.
I liked most of the upbeat party songs such as "Get this Party Started" and "J-Train". But some of the songs, such as "What's Goin Down" and "Extreme Days" were a little overdone. A little too extreme for me. I liked some of the softer songs such as "In The Air" and "Love is in the House" mostly because of the words. And I absolutely loved Tru-Dog.
I guess my favorite song on this cd would have to be "Irene" just because of its melody and the story that is told in the words. It really is a great song if you listen to the lyrics.
Overall, I'd say this was a great first cd for tobyMac as a solo artist.

Life is Good | Posted July-16-2009
I got this cd less than a week ago and have listened to it at least once every day. Before a week ago I didn't really know who Stellar Kart was. After listening to their cd a lot, I've come to like them, but realize they had a lot of ups and downs. Such as:
-The lead singer's voice was a little hard to get used to at first.
-Some of their songs sounded alike.
-/+You could tell the difference between the older and newer songs because of the way they sounded.
+Their upbeat songs were fun while their slower songs were pretty and meaningful.
+They kept God the main focus in all their songs.
Overall, I'd say their ups outweighed their downs because I really enjoyed listening to this cd.

Great music...unfamiliar name | Posted July-01-2009
I had loved Mark Shultz's songs way before I knew who he was; Songs like "Remember Me" and "Broken and Beautiful" and "Letters From War". When I heard him at a local concert called Freedom Fest a couple of years ago, some things in my brain clicked and I was like "oh, so that's who sings that song". From then on I loved Mark Shultz and loved him even more when I heard the song "Walking Her Home".

My First Taste of Mark Shultz... | Posted July-02-2009
My first real taste of Mark Shultz was on the radio singing along to some of his older songs like "Remember Me" and "I Have Been There", and that was before I even knew his name. Mark Shultz writes heartful (if that's a word) lyrics and beautiful music to go with it. I'd have to say he's my favorite songwriter.

LET IT REINDEER!!!!!! | Posted June-28-2009
This is the funniest Christmas cd I have ever heard! My favorite song was "12 Days of Christmas". Relient K has again shown their uniqueness and creativity with the craziest Christmas cd ever.

This is an awesome cd! | Posted June-28-2009
This cd is really catchy and I still haven't gotten sick of it after listening to it like a hundred times. My favorite song would have to be "Rescue is Coming". Keep up the good work David Crowder Band!

Apathetic: A Little Pathetic | Posted June-27-2009
I didn't care for this cd as much as Relient K's other cds. The only songs I liked were "Apathetic Way To Be" and "The Thief". I didn't like the acoustic versions of their old songs (seriously, why redo a masterpiece?) and I didn't care for all the slow songs. I hate to say this stuff about a Relient K cd because frankly they are my favorite band of all time. But this was still a disappointment to me.
