With talent and songwriting skills that are right up there with Smitty and Steven Curtis Chapman, this debut album by Mark Schultz will most likely give you that rush of adrenaline you feel when you discover a brand new artist that you just love! The album is littered with catchy, inspiring lyrics and powerfully engaging music that varies from up-tempo pop gems to touching, heart-rending ballads.

One of the things I love about singer/ songwriters is that they live the songs they write and that's the case here. Particularly because this was Mark's very first album and came out of all the ups and downs of early career and youth ministry. Tracks like Cloud of Witnesses still hook me years later and Ginny Owens presence on one of the songs is a true delight.

My First Taste of Mark Shultz...| Posted July 02, 2009
My first real taste of Mark Shultz was on the radio singing along to some of his older songs like "Remember Me" and "I Have Been There", and that was before I even knew his name. Mark Shultz writes heartful (if that's a word) lyrics and beautiful music to go with it. I'd have to say he's my favorite songwriter.
