"tobyMac deliver "Tonight" so we can "Get Back Up" and Listen to Some "Funky Jesus Music" | Posted February-13-2010
"tobyMac" the veteran in music releases yet another CD called "Tonight". "Tonight" fuses Rock with hip-hop with pop, while still doing what he does best, making music that will make you want to dance.
"Tonight" opens up with "Tonight" the song starts off with a Stephanie smith sounding intro then gets into the "tobyMac" we've all come to love. The bridge misses it mark compared to the rest of the song, but it's still a good song overall. "Get Back Up" has a "All In" feel and delivers straight forward lyrics. "Funky Jesus Music" is a song that will make you want to jump ( if your in a car to crank it up ). "City On Our Knees" is my favorite song of the album, the chorus tells us what we as need to be like not a city, but a nation on our knees.
"Showstopper" is a great song that is great for concert and that's what the song is about. "Captured" and "Hold On" are amazing song with great lyrics. We really need to be "Captured" in God and to "Hold On" when things get though.
"tobyMac" delivers "Tonight" to show us we can "Get Back Up" and Listen to some "Funky Jesus Music" so we can become a "City On Are Knees" and become a "Showstopper". Then we will say "Hey Devil" let go of me and stop "Holding On" to me because I'm "Changed Forever" and I'm "Wonderin'" when I'm going to be "Captured" and "Start Something" that will "Break Open The Sky"
"tobyMac has delivered a great album even though it misses the mark on a couple songs this is still a home run for "tobyMac"

Welcome TO DIVERSE CITAAA | Posted February-12-2010
"tobyMac's" Sophomore release is a smashing hit with singles like "Gone", "Catchafire(Whoopsie-Daisy)" and "Diverse City"
"Hey Now”, a urban sounding song, has catchy vocals and a cool rap in the second verse. "Catchafire (Whoopsie-Daisy) has a more alternative rock sound with lyrics that will stay in your head for months."The Slam" is an excellent song with some rap/rock in it. (It suits Toby well.)
"Poetically Correct", is a weird interlude, in a good way. "Atmosphere" which is the only song I don't like on the album, has a slow DC TALK feel, hence the "Atmosphere" (remix) with DC TALK. "Gone", "Diverse City", "Gotta Go" and "Getaway Car" are a mix of Alternative Rock, Pop, Urban, and Rap. "TruDog: The Return" is nice track featuring the one and only Truette (Toby's son)
"tobyMac" truly has bought home a winner with a Diverse sound in each and every song. If you are going to pick up any "tobyMac" CD this should be your first.
Skillet Is Awake | Posted February-05-2010
"Comatose" Skillet's breakthrough album delivers strong music and lyrics from "Rebirthing" to "Looking for Angels". Beginning to end.
"Rebirthing", is a strong Rock song with passionate vocals, the transition between the guy and girl vocals give the song some extra flare. "The Last Night" is a song that could be someone laying there on their pillow at night and having a discussion with God, 'My life sucks and I don't want to do this anymore'... the other thing about The Last Night is it could be a friend, going to a friend that is saying, 'No matter what happens I will always be there for you.'... says John Copper of Skillet.
Other Highlights include "Better Than Drugs" a fist-pounding song with a great message, "Comatose" strong lyrics with a great Rock sound, "Whispers in The Dark" awesome solo, awesome lyrics, and a passionate voice all, Another song that got me into the album was "Looking for Angels" this song really talks about what people in other countries go through with poverty, having no clean water, no food, or going through a earthquake, hurricane etc... this album a must for any Hard Rock/Skillet fan.
Skillet delivers there best album to date with "Comatose" with just the right mixture of Heaviness and ballads. Skillet is Awake, no more Comatose.
Pop/Acoustic/Hip-Hop/Worship ( IN 1 ) | Posted December-30-2009
BarlowGirl's "How Can We Be Silent: All Aces Pass" which included the album stream and various other goodies has some awesome songs from some of my favorite artists.
Stellar Kart: Always Waiting, one of my favorite songs starts off the album with some poppiness, then we go to a more acoustic feel with, Big Daddy Weave: Only Jesus, and Building 4:29: Always"which both have a great meaning about we as Christians need and want.
Then the Spanish group Salvador makes it on this compilation with "Trying To Be The Sun" a very cool song from the group. Group 1 Crew: A Lot In Common" which brings the hip-hop is an excellent addition to the How Can We Be Silent: All Access Pass
The rest of the album bring the acoustic/worship feel ( "By The Tree: Only You, Jackson Waters: Jamie's Song, Pocket Full Of Rocks: Who Is This King, and Mark Roach: 1,000 Hallelujahs" ) Then Ending With some poppiness with "PureNRG's: What If"
MonsterMonster | Posted December-29-2009
When "The Almost" Released "Southern Weather" I didn't like any of there songs ( Amazing Because It Is ) was a song I hated the most. But I decided to try "MonsterMonster"
"Monster Monster" delivers some awesome vocals with rocking guitars. The other songs have great vocals and great riffs.

FM Static @ it again with "Dear Dairy". "What are You Waiting For" ( their debut release ) has always been one of my favorites. And Dear Dairy just replaced it.
"A Boy Moves To A New Town With An Optimistic Outlook" is a cool song that starts out with an acoutic feel then gets into the pop feel FM Static is known for. "The Unavoidable Battle Of Feeling On The Outside" deals with the struggles teenagres and tweend face today. And then "Take Me As I Am" Is a slower song but is what we as Christians need to say everyday.
Take me as I am,
‘Cause I’m goin’,
I was too scared to start,
And now I’m too scared to let go
Take me as I am,
‘Cause I’m growin’,
But it’s so hard to
Tell when I’m not used to
This so
A Fun Kids Book | Posted December-21-2009
I got this book for Christmas when I was 8, and have read it many times since. It was one of my first dog books, and my favorite. I think all kids should read Spunky's Diary and the other Animal Friends books.
