Addison Road put out one of the most impressive debuts with this self titled album. With songs like "Sticking With You" and "It Just Takes One" that are catchy fun songs, deep songs such as "What Do I Know of Holy" and "Hope Now" that make us really think about how Mighty God really is,and one of my personal favorite messages is found in "All That Matters" and "Casualities" and that's to remember to not get caught up in what's not important, but to remain rooted in Christ. The mixture of brilliant lyrics, talented musicians, and Jenny's awesome voice, every song is made unique and great. I highly recommend this album, it's an awesome addition to any music fans album collection.

The Born Again ep released by the Newsboys is a great taste of whats to come! Even though I already loved the first single released with Tait as lead singer ("Glorius") I was still very curios to how the new music would sound with Tait lyrics as well and I was blown away. From the first track "Born Again" I could already tell I was gonna like it,and the next track "On Your Knees" proved my feelings even more! The ep also comes with three other songs including "When the Boys Light Up" which makes you just wanna get up and dance to it. I highly recommend the Born Again ep release,a release that builds up alot of anticipation for the full length release coming in June.

The Audios ep was my personal favorite of the three Flynn Adam ep releases showing the last is somtimes saved for last. In this ep Flynn fuzes three different sounds and pretty much three different song meanings. In "Adios" he touches on having to end a friendship with somone that is bringing him down the wrong path, which is a hard thing for anyone, next is "500,000 Boomin Watts" where Flynn puts togehter a masterpiece of lyric and beat that makes you just wanna get up and follow the songs messge to hang on and remember God is in control and to stand up and defend Him. Lastly is "Feel It Now" where Flynn just comes bursting out with brilliant lyrics and a catchy college football sounding beat that is incredible.

I highly recommend the Adios ep and all of Flynn's work to anyone into the hip-hop genre.

Best album of 2010? Though there are hundreds of releases to be released TobyMac's Tonight will be a hard act to be topped. An album three years in the maiking as it had been in the mixing pot of toby's "Music Gumbo" Tonight does not dissapoint in any way, which is amaizing considering all the different sounds and how in someway toby can get somone that hates hip-hop to dance to it,somone that haits rockin songs get up and their hands waving and pretty much the same with all other genres. The album starts with the title track "Tonight" featuring John Cooper from Skillet and just a few highlights are "City on our Knees" which was toby's fastest selling and charting single of his career, "Showstopper" which is rocking and has gotten much media attention from the NFL,college basketball,to even a possible movie! Along with Cooper comes a few other guest including,Matt thiessen,Israel Houghton,Nirva Ready ( from the Diverse City band),and toby's oldest son Truett making another appearance in his rap persona "trudog".

I give tobyMac's Tonight album five out of five stars and recommend it to all.

huge splash | Posted February-03-2010
The "Such a Time ep" was Flynn's reintroduction to the music scene after a four year hiatus of his solo career, and it was a huge splash! With two new releases and a remix the ep is off the chain, and a great buy. Though it may be only two songs, the two touch on great subjects,"Just Don't get it" describes a guy doing all he can to show his feelings towards a girl yet she doesn't realize it and brushes it off as nothing special, and "Such a Time" about looking at the present and using it for the best. I highly recommend this and all of Flynn's work,he truly a very talented musician.

Comin with a vengeance! | Posted February-03-2010
Family Force 5's first remix album is a great album, well as far as remixes go. Each track has it's own uniqueness that seperates it from the original, such as "The first Time" comes in with a melody of bells and "Radiator" that's a little more guitar driven in the remix. The album host some big names remixing also, from Matt Thiessen to the secret handshake to even mainstream hit makers like 3oh3! . Along with the remixes comes the original song "Ghostride the Whip", a fantastic rap sung by Couton and Soul Glow.I highly recommend Dance or Die with a Vengeance to any music lover, especially ones wanting some tunes to dance to!

Infected with the Reubonic plague | Posted January-23-2010
When I heard John Reuben was releasing a new record I was over joyed, cause I knew it'd be awesome. Everytime Reuben releases an album it has so much awesomness compacted into it. And Reuben's new album did not dissapoint,it surpassed expectations! Sex, Drugs and Self-Control was one of reuben's best to date and one of,if not the top, albums of 2009. Containing awesome songs like "Radio Makes you Lonely" , "No Be Nah" and "Joyful Noise" it creates an album of great beats fused with brilliant lyrics that is a great buy and a great listen. With the release of this album also has an essential part of every release and that is music videos. With four videos already and Reuben saying more are coming it boast some of the best videos from 09' such as "Town Folk" , "Confident" and "Jamboree" which has a portion of "Radio Makes you Lonely" at the beginning and a portion of an exclusive release at the end. I give this album five stars and recommend it to all.

The "City on Our Knees ep" was a great ep. Not only did it contain the smash hit "City on Our Knees" from tobyMac's up-coming album Tonight ,but also came with remixes for two of Portable Sounds' songs "Lose my Soul" which was more piano driven in the remix and the "Boomin" remix that came with Shonlock's amaizing verse added into the remix. Along with the tunes came an awesome interview where toby discussed his writing proscess and the meaning and story behind a few of the songs off the new record.

I highly recommend the ep,it is deffinately worth the couple of dollars.

Upon the release of "Awake" Skillet took the music world by storm! Not only charting number one hits on Christian charts but also showing an impressive charting on mainstream. The latest album was one that had been anticipated for three years and had high expectations because of their previous album "Comatose" that been their best to date, music wise and reception wise, and Awake surely delivered. Debuting at #2 (tying the record) Awake gain raved reception and produced hits right off the bat.Songs including "Hero", "Monster" and "Awake and Alive" climbed charts and were picked up for themes to WWE pay per views, video games, and even soap operas.

Awake was one of the top albums of 2009 as well as the past decade,I highly recommend it.
