A good solid rock album overall that focuses a lot on High School life and relationships. If you are looking for something deep lyrically or that is more praise related this probably wouldn't be a good choice. The songs on the album are upbeat and remind me of driving down a road with the windows rolled down.

This is one of those releases that grows on me the more I listen to it. The album has some variety in it's arrangements which is great, but they all follow along a common sound so everything presents itself like a common theme (as opposed to to some releases where you feel like you are jumping from hard rock to country to hip hop and is just all over the place). My favorite tracks are those in the middle (tracks 5-8). I also really appreciate the Christ centered lyrics.

This release is kind of a mixed bag. The diehard fans have probably purchased this release already, so the presentation of this new edition in some ways seems like the music companies attempting to get their most committed fans to "re-purchase" this release which in many ways seems like a negative thing.
For anyone who hasn't purchased the original release and really likes the band, this would probably be a good purchase.
I don't care much for the Newsboys since Tait has taken over vocals so the addition of extra songs he performs on was not very exciting. After listening to the 2nd CD none of the songs really grabbed my attention. The remixes are "ok" but nothing groundbreaking, especially compared to some of the remixes that have been done for "Plumb". The Newsboys really deserve better and stronger remix tracks.

There are better | Posted March-30-2011
This release is pretty small in scope and there are better "greatest hits" out by the Newsboys.

An excellent and solid release from the Newsboys. This CD and "Go" are probably the pinnacle of work I like from the Newsboys, even though they have had many good songs over the years. All of the tracks on this release except for 6 & 7 are very strong and I love listening to over and over. I'm hoping tracks 6 & 7 will grow on me over time. I bought this one for my collection.

In general I am not a big fan of "Live" albums. Many times it seems live albums either reveal how much an artist is "helped" in the studio and shows that most of the talent behind them is done by engineers, or you have an artist who's voice is strained from heavy touring. Sometimes you also have artists that want to completely re-arrange songs for their live performances and the songs you love somehow lose all the magic and specialness because the new arrangements are weaker than the originals.
This release was really refreshing in the sense that the live versions sound very close to the originals and show that what you hear on the bands albums is really the raw talent of the group...even though many of their CD's are heavily produced. This would be a great album for anyone who wants a live album from the Newsboys or anyone who saw this show/tour.

Decent | Posted May-06-2011
This release is a decent overall collection of remixes. Compared to the remixes that have done for some of "Plumb's" songs, I really think that the Newsboys deserve much better, as many of their original studio released songs are very good. Overall I thought that many of these mixes were not as strong as the original album tracks they were mixed from, but there are enough on this release that I might purchase it at some point down the road if cheap enough.

At first this looked like another one of those releases the record labels put out a few months after the initial release of the album, so you suddenly find a different version available with one new track on it and wish you had waited a little longer to make your purchase. As I dug a little deeper into this one though, I realized that in some ways it is (in that 3 additional tracks are added onto the original 11 track release). The extra tracks include a live track and 2 bonus cuts). The really amazing thing about this release though is the amazing 2 hour long DVD that is included and barely seems to get much attention on the packaging. If you want to get up close and personal into the lives of the band and things that were going on during the time this album was released...this DVD is pretty amazing. This should set should be a prized addition to any Newsboys fan's collection! This is one bonus track edition I'm glad I purchased.

A great collection of worship songs. This is one of those releases that I didn't care for as much upon first listen, but after hearing it a time or two it really grew on me and now I like all the songs. It's a little different than the "disco" sound I had become accustomed to from the Newsboys and is more acoustic and rock oriented. A great addition to their collection of releases.

This release has quite a few good songs on it including and features a little more emphasis on a straight foward rock sound as opposed to the dance-pop sound that became more prominent in the bands releases in the coming years. My favorite tracks are "Thrive", "Rescue" and "It is You".
