Kutless I'm not always the biggest fan of worship albums put out by rock bands, by this is definitely an exception! From start to finish, this album is amazing! Opening with their version of the inspiring hymn,...
SK's best album by far! | Posted July-13-2009
I can always come back to this album and enjoy it just as much as I did the first time. This album is by far their best. I feel that they took a huge step with Expect The Impossible. When I first heard the intro to "Eyes", I didn't know quite what to think, but I instantly fell in love. You don't hear songs like that everyday. The lyrics are meaningful and the songs are crazy fun to dance to, makes for a great album!
Upbeat, amazing music | Posted July-13-2009
We all have those days when we just need a boost. Whether it is a spiritual boost or an energy boost, you can find it with Eleventyseven. This album is silly and fun, but it still has lyrics that are uplifting and meaningful. When you are feeling down, sit down and listen to this album. You can get a good laugh with "Conan", you can have a spiritual boost with "It's Beautiful" or you can just dance to "Retail Value"! This album has something for everyone. Even if it's not an album that will go down in history, it sure can lift your spirits!
Enjoyable album | Posted July-13-2009
I am always searching for an artist that not only has uplifting lyrics, but has a voice worth listening to. And I think that Matthew West is it. To me this album is a mixture of Chris Tomlin and Mat Kearney. While a bit more upbeat than most of Tomlin's music, he includes uplifting meaningful lyrics that are worth listening to. His voice sounds quite a bit like Kearney's in my opinion. There is tons of energy on this album, definitely an album worth listening to!
Completely amazing!!! | Posted July-12-2009
This is by far one of the best CDs ever written. I wasn't sure if they could keep up the pace after MmHmm, but they certainly did! The album opens with an acapella intro called Plead the Fifth. Going straight into an upbeat track called, "Come Right Out and Say It". The next track (one of my personal favorites), "I Need You" has heavy guitar riffs, catchy vocals, and meaningful lyrics. Throughout the album there is other great tracks such as "The Best Thing", their chart-topping single "Must Have Done Something Right", as well as a rock ballad called "Forgiven". The album wraps up with an upbeat track "Up and Up" and their 11-minute song "Deathbed". Meaningful, uplifting lyrics, creative instrumentation, strong vocals and more can be found on this fantastic album!
Different, but great sound | Posted July-11-2009
After "Wake Up! Wake Up!" I knew I was hooked to Everyday Sunday. They had a unique sound and tons of energy. When I found out that they were Christian, I was even more stoked! While this album doesn't live up to their past releases, it is still a very good album. I was a bit disappointed at first, but after a while their catchy hooks grow on you. After about two listens, I was in love. It is just one of those albums you have to give a chance, even if it is different than the artist's earlier work.
