Classic Sara Groves, top 10 of 2002! | Posted December-10-2007
If you can only get 2 Sara Groves releases, I highly recommend "All Right Here" and her newest "Tell Me What You Know". I love all of her albums, but this one really hit me in how personal some of the songs are like "Less Like Scars", "You Did That For Me" and my favorite overall Sara Groves song "Maybe There's A Loving God". She has an amazing singing voice and is easily the best female Christian songwriter.

Landmark Sara Groves, top 10 of 2007! | Posted December-10-2007
I love Sara Groves and how refreshing her music, lyrics, overall songwriting and singing voice actually all seem to get better with each release. "Conversations", "All Right Here" and "Add To The Beauty" were all top 10 albums the year they came out (including CCM's album of the year for 2005). As great as her previous albums are, "Tell Me What You Know" is my favorite Sara Groves release and top 10 of 2007 for me. I can't get enough of "When The Saints", "Song for my Sons", and "I Saw What I Saw".

Great, but not quite "A Collision" | Posted October-02-2008
Funny, but maybe it takes time for each DC*B release to become my favorite as I didn't love "A Collision" compared to "Illuminate" and I don't love "Remedy" compared to "A Collision", yet. Certainly some songs standout on "Remedy" like "Never Let Go", "Surely We Can Change", "Can You Feel It", "The Glory Of It All" and "Everything Glorious". Another gem by DC*B. I'm guessing in another few months this will be my favorite.

Good Derek Webb Collection | Posted November-19-2007
I like the selections on this album and the acoustic versions of "Mockingbird", "Better Than Wine", "Lover" and "Wedding Dress". This is not a greatest hits collection however as several of Derek's best songs are missing from his first 3 albums. If you only get one album, get "She Must and Shall Go Free" and then "The Ringing Bell".

Must-have Derek Webb | Posted November-19-2007
Any Christian music fan should check out this debut album by Derek Webb. I've been a fan of Derek's for over 10 years going back to Caedmon's Call and since "She Must and Shall Go Free", I've been an even bigger fan. The title song, "Nobody Loves Me", "The Church", "Wedding Dress" and one of my all-time favorite songs "Lover" are all can't miss songs and this is one of my favorite albums ever.

2nd Best Derek Webb Album | Posted November-16-2007
I loved Derek's debut album "She Must and Shall Go Free" due to my following him with Caedmon's Call and really respecting his desire to make his own "message" album and that is still my favorite. I liked Derek's other work in between but found the lyrics to be stronger than the melodies. He returned to form on "The Ringing Bell" with possibly his strongest lyrics overall and definitely his best melodies. I love "I Wanna Marry You All Over Again", "Name", and "I Don't Want To Fight" and it's my 2nd favorite overall.

Best Album of 2006! | Posted November-16-2007
Leeland not only showed how much talent they have with their award winning debut album last year, they put out the best album of 2006 in my opinion. It's not often that the more I listen to a release the more I like it, but somehow the brilliance of Leeland comes out even more after savoring amazing songs like "Tears of the Saints", "Carried to the Table" and "Beautiful Lord". You can't go wrong with this album and I think in a couple more years, Leeland may be the biggest name in Christian music!

Great Christian Rock | Posted November-16-2007
I really like this band and the style of this award-winning debut album. I have several friends who are not Christian and love Classic rock like Lynyrd Skynyrd and AC/DC and Decemberadio is a great introduction to how Christian music can really rock in that Classic rock style. Standout songs are "Love Found Me", "Drifter", "Least of These" and "Dangerous".

2nd Best Caedmon's Call Album | Posted October-12-2007
I pre-ordered this album because I learned Derek Webb was back with Caedmon's after I'd become a bigger Derek fan than Caedmon's in the last 4 years. His return is well-timed as this is Caedmon's 2nd best album overall after "40 Acres" in my opinion. I love the diversity of songs and my favorites are "There Is A Reason", "Sacred" and "Trouble". Andrew Osenga is also a great songwriter and this is a solid album overall.

Beyond Measure, top 10 of 2006! | Posted September-18-2007
At first I was a little bit disappointed in this album compared to the brilliance of "Restored" and "Live Unplugged" and certain artists like Jeremy Camp have set the bar so high that even great albums like "Beyond Measure" need to be savored for awhile and then are better appreciated as compared to other albums from the same year. As a result, this is in my top 10 of 2006 with some of Jeremy's best tracks ever, like "Give You Glory", "Let It Fade", "Beyond Measure" and "What It Means". A great companion album is his wife Adie's "Don't Wait", also top 10.
