Best Album by Caedmon's Call | Posted January-14-2008
I am about to see Derek Webb and Caedmon's Call together in concert next month and I have been listening to this album by Caedmon's Call from 1999 and it is totally brilliant, every song. From the opening catchy melody of "There You Go" and Derek Webb penned "Thankful", "Faith My Eyes" (my personal favorite), the moving "Table for Two" and then closing with "40 Acres", this album is timeless in its melody, lyrics and is the best album by Caedmon's Call, one of my favorite bands.

Brilliant Emotionally Charged Rock! | Posted January-08-2008
This albums demands to be be experienced over and over. I love the standout songs "The Unwinding Cable Car", "Godspeed", "Dismantle.Repair." and "(*Fin)" but I love the whole album even more. "Cities" takes you on a musical journey and is charged with emotional themes like pain, loneliness and hope and brings listeners to their knees in worship of our amazing God. "Don't Drop Your Arms". Anberlin Rocks!

Best of 2007 by Artist of the Decade! | Posted December-21-2007
It's hard to argue against MercyMe being the best Christian artist of the decade and this album just adds to their stellar career achievements. Easily the most accessible Christian artist whose music is heard out and about in stores and restaurants and on radio without ever straying from the Gospel. "God With Us", "You Reign", "Finally Home" and "Time Has Come" are all Biblical and catchy and rank among MercyMe's best songs. MercyMe's sound and lyrical depth has only grown with each album and in my opinion, this is the best of 2007.

Favorite Christian Anthology | Posted December-10-2007
Other than Third Day's Chronology collections, this Caedmon's Call album called "Chronicles 1992-2004" is my favorite Christian anthology. It truly has almost all of the best songs by Caedmon's Call, has previously unreleased live versions, 2 new recordings and my favorite recording of "Hope To Carry On" as a live medley with "I Will Sing" as a tribute to Rich Mullins. If you only get one Caedmon's album, this is it.

Most underrated worship album | Posted December-10-2007
Many Christian music fans are familiar with Caedmon's Call and their catchy melodies and introspective lyrics. During the big worship album push of the early 2000's, this gem by Caedmon's Call gets overlooked and is underrated in my opinion. Of course you know "God of Wonders", but "Who You Are", "Before There Was Time" and "We Delight" are also all worship classics that are great. Since most of the songs are originals, this is just another great Caedmon's Call album that happens to be a worship album.

Impressive Debut Album | Posted December-10-2007
There have been several impressive debut albums in the last 2 years. Leeland, Jackson Waters, Rush of Fools and Needtobreathe top the list for me. This album rocks from start to finish and was among the most pleasant surprises of 2006 along with Plumb, Newsboys, Downhere and Jars of Clay. Like everyone else, I love "Shine On" and also "Haley" and "You Are Here". Great album. Even better group.

Best Newsboys release, top 10 of decade! | Posted December-10-2007
Like many long-time Christian music fans, I've always enjoyed Newsboys and have seen them live more than any other Christian band and they always put on a great show. "Go" is by far the best Newsboys release ever and top 10 of the decade so far in my opinion. "Something Beautiful", "I Am Free", "Go" and "In Wonder" are all standout songs and Paul Colman is a great addition to a now legendary band.

Solid second solo album | Posted December-10-2007
I really liked Mark's first solo album "The Line Between the Two" and picked up "Windows and Walls" right away based on his great work with 4Him and I'm impressed with this second album. "Writing on the Wall", "I Will See Jesus" and "Living Room" are all nice CCM AC radio songs.

Amazing Debut Album | Posted December-10-2007
Sara Groves' first major label release "Conversations" earned her much deserved attention and garnered her a Dove Award nomination for Best New Artist in 2002 along with Shaun Groves and Downhere and they are 3 of my favorite Christian artists. "Conversations" is a perfect debut album with standout songs "The Word" and "He's Always Been Faithful".

CCM's Album of the year 2005! | Posted December-10-2007
Just 2 short years ago, this brilliant release by Sara Groves slipped under the radar of most Christian music fans and consumers, but it didn't get past the critical music reviewers and CCM Magazine named it album of the year for 2005. Personally, it's my 3rd favorite Sara Groves release after "Tell Me What You Know" and "All Right Here", but it's excellent with standout songs "You Are The Sun", "Add To The Beauty" and "Just Showed Up for My Own Life".
