Just 2 short years ago, this brilliant release by Sara Groves slipped under the radar of most Christian music fans and consumers, but it didn't get past the critical music reviewers and CCM Magazine named it album of the year for 2005. Personally, it's my 3rd favorite Sara Groves release after "Tell Me What You Know" and "All Right Here", but it's excellent with standout songs "You Are The Sun", "Add To The Beauty" and "Just Showed Up for My Own Life".

This release struck me in it's musical variety (compared to many of Sara's later releases). There are songs that feature Sara's signature reflective songwriter sound, but this releases also touches on some R&B/hip-hop beats, light country overtones and some light rock. As always this release is top notch in the songwriting, musical performances and production.

This album is beautiful, simplistic, and has incredibly deep, inspiring lyrics. Take the time for this CD to really ripen within yourself and to absorb the deep, impacting lyrics within. I love "You Are The Sun" the most!
