From Water to War does a great job in bucking the sophomore slump and delivering a sound that is similar yet different.  While the band's debut sounded like any other hard rock album, this one...

A solid album from start to finish | Posted March-20-2008
After leaving Flicker Records Pillar comes out with their 1st for Essential Records and 5th on a major label. This CD is amazing. All 10 songs are solid and have it's own unique "wow" factor to them. Like it says in the little blurb on the page for this album (see above) this is an album that Pillar fans should not pass on.

It's like a major label release on an indie label. But it sounds really good | Posted March-20-2008
MxPx jumped to SideOneDummy and released 2005's Panic. It's not the best album the guys have put out but it still sounds really good. The signature MxPx sound is still here amid more mature lyrics.

A good effort | Posted March-20-2008
2004 for Forthright saw the release of their full-length album Power Under Control. Yeah the sound quality is bad but the songs are not that bad. The songs on this album make you think about how you live life now and ways on how to make it better. Also the last song is a great acoustic track that closes everything off really nicely.

An EP with attitude | Posted March-20-2008
5 years after Forthright's debut EP this EP is the best bunch of songs that Forthright has come out with. All 3 songs are solid in every way. The lyrics are solid, the melody is solid, and the sound is absolutly solid. What an achievement.

a rocking good time | Posted March-16-2008
Solid State really knows how to showcase their artists. In the latest edition of This Is Solid State 12 bands showcase their talents. Aside from songs from Underoath and Demon Hunter that everybody has heard before the rest of the CD is really good. August Burns Red's contribution to this album is in the form of a great unreleased b-side from Thrill Seeker. The 3 bonus songs include 2 great demo songs from Far-Less and As Cities Burn and a great acoustic closer from Demon Hunter. For fans of metal these albums are not to be missed.

Crazy awesome metal madness. | Posted March-01-2008
New Solid State band Once Nothing bursts onto the scene with their major-label debut full-length album First Came the Law. The band describes themselves as blue coller metal. They are not kidding. This album is wicked cool. The screaming could do with a little touch-up, but the rest of the CD is one big head-bangin' experience. Skip track 6 and 12 and you'll still have 47 minutes of " funky, funky music." Once Nothing is a band that should be watched by people in the future.

A UFC (unbelievinly flippin' cool) book | Posted February-26-2008
This book is written in signature Dekker style that you could be up all night reading it. The writing is fluent, the characters are memorible, and the surprising twists and turns should sastisfy any Ted Dekker fan and any fan of a good book.

The Perfect End To A Perfect Trilogy | Posted February-26-2008
As White concludes it's storyline new possibilities for more storylines set in this universe open up and I think that is what Ted wanted. Like I said in my review for Black, the Circle Trilogy should be on everyone's reading list or collection.

A Good Start To a Really Good Trilogy. | Posted February-26-2008
Ted Dekker has a lot of time on his hands. He published the Circle Trilogy in the span of a year and the 1st in the trilogy Black, proves that this is going to go places and it is going to rock. This trilogy and Thr3e should be on everybody's reading lists or collection.

Fully Surprised | Posted February-24-2008
New Tooth and Nail band Ivoryline's debut album really surprised me. The songs I heard on the Internet were really good and I liked them a lot but when I listened to the album I enjoyed every single song found on it. (I should have added some commas in that last sentence somewhere.) Albums that have solid songs throughout are hard to find. Some albums that have all good songs that I love are:

Thousand Foot Krutch: Phenomenon
The Showdown: Temptation Come My Way
Family Force 5: Buisness Up Front/Party in the Back (Diamond Edition included)

Now I better add Ivoryline to this list as well. Ivoryline has prooved to us that they will be around for a very long time.
