Nashville Life Music is probably best known for their collaboration with Mr. Talkbox on the song "My God." At least that was the first autosuggestion for them on Google! Anyways, the song is powerful and we will take a look at it further down in the article. The part about this worship group that stood out the most to me though, is their description as a family. Although few of them are related, I love how they all work together so well. They truly create a symphony of voices that can get the audience dancing and reflect in the same praise experience.
The group was formed out of an impromptu living room worship session. They have grown over time and spread their message to many audiences. They have a mission of "seeing the world filled with Jesus followers." Senior Pastors Alvin Love and CeCe Winans Love are the ones at the head of the group. The group recently celebrated its seventh anniversary and its latest project is the Here For Jesus, which releases Friday, July 17, 2020.
NEW: "Sing a Song (Part 2)" feat. Aaron Cole
So I'm a make joyful noise
Until I'm dead and gone
I sing a song in his presence
Cause that's where I belong
Fitting in is such a large part of today's society. Honestly, it's really stressful to always worry about where we belong in this world. This is a reminder that we don't have to stress about it so much because we already fit into God's plan. We don't have to force it; we are a perfectly crafted piece with a special spot in his master puzzle. That is where we belong. That's why we "Sing a Song" to Him!
NEW: "My God" feat. Mr. Talkbox
You give me that joy like a river You give me that mercy that I never deserve You give me that love, nothing better You give me that sweet peace like never before
Jesus gives us all this and so much more! Taking a moment out of your day to reflect on his gifts can do a lot for anxiety. It forces you to refocus on what you are grateful for in the present instead of worrying about the future. By thinking with a thankful mind, we humble our spirits and allow them to be close to God again.
