Planetshakers "So Good (Live)"
When I heard the original version of "So Good," I thought that it would fit perfectly at youth conferences. After listening to the new live version of the song, that thought is now a fact. Planetshakers takes biblically-sound lyrics and pumps up the energy level. There is a bass solo, drum solo, "na-na-na's" a plenty, and lots of crowd participation. If you were to put this much energy and passion into a worship song at most churches, people might think you're over-doing it. But, on the contrary, I see just that as energy and passion for the Lord's greatness. So, when you sing "God, you're so good/There's nobody like You," no one will doubt your passion. So, like the Planetshakers, sing like there is nobody more deserving. –Ryan Adams
Cory Asbury "Christ Be Magnified"
"Christ Be Magnified" is truly an anthem. It's a cry and a declaration to commit to God. And, to magnify Him in our day-to-day lives. The songwriter, Cody Carnes, released this song at the beginning of the year. It's such a powerful worship song that I love. And, I think you'll love it, too. The bridge of this song proclaims, "I won't bow to idols, I'll stand strong and worship you/And, if it puts me through the fire/I'll rejoice 'cause you're there, too/I won't be formed by feelings/I hold fast to what is true/'Cause if the cross brings transformation/You can hang me there, too." This is a song that every Christian needs to raise as a banner over their life. "Christ be magnified in me." –Grace Chaves
Paul Baloche "Behold Him"
Paul Baloche is an acclaimed worship leader, an esteemed songwriter, and a true mentor in the worship movement. He's penned and sang many of the church's most beloved worship songs. This winter, he released "Behold Him," featuring Jesus Culture's Kim Walker-Smith. The song is the title track from his latest album. "Behold Him" has a beautiful melody that is both captivating and simple. The male and female vocals compliment each other and add a special quality to the song. This one is sure to become a staple worship song in churches--especially at Easter. As the lyrics proclaim Jesus as a majestic Creator, humble Savior and risen King, they invite us to behold and worship Him. –Jasmin Patterson
Influence Music "Stronger"
The latest from Influence Music features the International House of Prayer alumnus, Matt Gilman. The collective of artists birthed out of the movement at Influence Church in Anaheim Hills, California, continue a strong West Coast tradition of creating spirit-filled, God-centered worship music. Gilman's distinct vocals are ever-present on "Stronger." It feels like a song that would have been right at home at a Onething Conference. –Mark Ryan
Natalie Grant "My Weapon"
This song represents life. It includes some great challenges to step out in faith and trust God--even when you want to give up or can't see where you're going. We aren't the power source to overcome challenges. God is our greater power source; He brings the true power. In our weakness, God's strength is perfect. "My Weapon" represents the victory that we have over our battles before we even know the earthly outcome. We do this by trusting that God is going before us and He wins. You can sincerely pray these words along with Natalie. It's a moving offering of praise to Jesus. His love is never-ending, and He is our refuge and our strength. If you're looking for a firm foundation in your life, make these lyrics your personal prayer, "When I speak Your name/Your presence is my weapon." Amen to that. –Kevin Davis
David & Nicole Binion "Living Proof"
If Bethel Music is a style of worship you enjoy, "Living Proof" is a song you'll want to have on repeat. Deeply personal lyrics and a familiar piano sound steer the sound in that direction right away. But, a guest appearance by the incomparable Steffany Gretzinger completes the picture as the song continues. Capped off by a declaration: "I am a walking, talking, living, breathing, hallelujah." This is a powerful song and a can't-miss anthem for 2020. –John Hisel
North Point Worship "Just Getting Started"
Worship music continues to incorporate more and more pop and electronic influences. North Point's "Just Getting Started," for example, is an energetic toe-tapper that sounds lush and modern. It's sure to get listeners up and dancing, while also pointing upwards to Christ. And, how He's only just begun His work in our lives. Look for this song to make a splash in your youth group this year. –JJ Francesco
Lincoln Brewster "Who Am I"
When I played "Who Am I" for the first time, I didn't realize that it was a Lincoln Brewster song. I got lost in a moment of worship. And, honestly thought it was a newer worship artist. –Jake Frederick
Sean Feucht "Raise Our Voice"
"Raise Our Voice" is one of my new favorite worship songs to listen to. The beginning line drew me in instantly. I was hooked. "We will not be silent/For the time is now/We will rise to be the answer/A change is coming down." We constantly look for solutions in our chaotic lives. But, we will eventually rise up and answer the challenge. We will help change the world with God on our side. Sean Feucht is a worship leader at Bethel Church. He's also a founder of a grassroots global worship. With a song that will instantly drag you in, you'll find yourself singing along to the chorus as the song plays. I hope Sean releases a new album in the near future. In the meantime, he'll continue to encourage his listeners to feel redeemed and brand new. –Brendan Burke
Jesus Culture "More Than Enough"
Following up one of my favorite albums, Living With A Fire, Jesus Culture is back with a worshipful new song. Led by worship leader Kim Walker-Smith, "More Than Enough" is a stirring song of worship with a powerfully led spontaneous bridge that captives you in worship. Jesus Culture does not disappoint with one of the most personally worship songs of the year. No matter any need or feeling we may have, our God is the God of more than enough. Through Jesus, we can surrender and come anew in His life-changing embrace. In His presence, we can fully be made new, whole, and awake in His love! –Bradden Ford
Sheri Lynn Riley "Names of God"
For anyone looking for some simple, countryside vibes inserted into their worship, Sheri is your artist. Harking back to classic CCM voices like Kathy Trocolli and Point of Grace, her latest album, Love Matters, is full of live instruments, honest vertical lyrics and a simple, unpolished reflection of God's love for us. It's an honest album that gives back to our Creator. –Kevin McNeese
