There's something special about siblings. From shared memories to common interests to a deep friendship that forms as a result of a lifetime of experiences together, it's a connection unlike any other.

Those reasons and more are why we find many sibling sets making Christian music together. Already used to having to share time, space and resources, it's a natural fit for brothers and sisters to hit the road and the studio.

It was National Siblings Day earlier this month, and in celebration of that--as well as the exciting new worship release from brother-sister group Citylovemusic--we compiled a list of our favorite sibling bands in Christian music.

citylovemusic
For brother-sister duo Jonathan Singh and Kristina Plush, music is in their blood. As pastor's kids from New York City, Jonathan and Kristina grew up in the church and were exposed to many different and eclectic styles of worship music including Calypso, Reggae, Southern Gospel, and Funk. After some time apart to pursue solo endeavors, Jonathan and Kristina reunited in 2016 to form Citylovemusic, a worship duo that has been described by the siblings as musical Gumbo--"a little of everything!" You can hear this musical amalgam on Citylovemusic's self-titled EP, out now.

About A Mile
Adam, Luke, and Levi Klutinoty are only one-half of the Klutinoty clan, but the three brothers make up the entirety of About A Mile. In a 2014 interview with NewReleaseToday, Adam had this to say about being family in the music industry: "They say blood's thicker than water, but being brothers in Christ definitely makes us closer. We're going out and playing with Chris August, we did a tour with Sidewalk, and we just met Josh Wilson at a show. Me and these people, they feel like brothers. They feel like family. They care about us and we care about them, and we care about the people we're playing for in the crowd, their souls and their hearts. Knowing the reason why we're doing things makes any little argument or things we could go through seem a lot smaller."

OBB
In case you didn't already know, OBB is an acronym that stands for "Oswald Brothers Band." The chemistry between Zack, Jacob, and Nich is reminiscent of another famous trio of bros, the Jonas Brothers, and they have experienced some pretty great success over the past year as a result. Their fun, carefree music has earned them a spot on the most recent leg of Winter Jam, along with a place in the Radio Disney rotation. With an album on the way this year, led by lead single "Sweater," OBB is a group on the rise.

LoveCollide
Following in the footsteps of BarlowGirl, pop duo LoveCollide (formerly titled "The DeLearys") is made up of sisters Lauren and Brooke DeLeary. For Lauren and Brooke, growing up singing and performing together helped tighten their harmonies and vocals in a way that only siblings can, and after years of playing together, they're only getting better! Fun fact: LoveCollide presented The Hook Award at the 5th Annual WE LOVE CHRISTIAN MUSIC AWARDS last month.

Consumed By Fire
Like citylovemusic, Consumed By Fire is a group of pastor's kids who spent time leading music in the churches their parents helped pioneer. It wasn't long after that Caleb, Jordan, and Joshua Ward found their musical voice and founded Consumed By Fire. "Ministry has always been a huge part of our lives, not something we just started to do when we formed Consumed by Fire," Jordan revealed. Their love for music runs in the family as well: their Southern rock style is largely influenced by the groups their parents introduced them to, including Creedence Clearwater Revival, Chicago, Bob Seger, and The Eagles.

Harper Still
Harper Still may not be a household name yet, but you've definitely heard of these famous sisters. After seven years of making covers for Youtube, Jamie Grace and her sister Morgan Harper Nichols officially turned their hobby into a serious project a few years back. Some of their more notable performances include "Brother" by NEEDTOBREATHE (a band that has a couple of brothers in it), "What Hurts The Most" by Rascal Flatts, and  "Remedy" by Adele (which Jamie Grace performed on-stage with Adele in August). The sisters promise more music is coming from them soon.

Children 18:3
An oldie-but-a-goodie, rock band Children 18:3 is a group of homeschool siblings from Morris, Minnesota. Made up of brothers Seth and David Hostetter, and sister Lee Marie, Children 18:3 spent the past decade serenading our ears with tongue-in-cheek songwriting, clever lyrics, and an exhilarating live show. The band put out four full-length albums over the course of their career, culminating in 2015's Come In, one of the best albums that year. Although the group has officially disbanded, they still continue to play the occasional show. Children 18:3 will be missed, but thankfully, they proved to the world that homeschoolers can rock.
