Bebo This was a really, really good album from start to finish. Poetic lyrics, accessible and creative tunes, and an awesome voice. This is album is definitely worth getting.

Will Will Retherford's whimsy, folk approach to music may turn some people off, as it did to me the first few times I heard his music. But as time went on, I began to enjoy his music more. Will has a good voice,...
Rest
by
Beckah The album opens with "Rest," which sets the rest of the album mood. It was a good opener. The rest of the songs sound pretty much the same until you get to the half-place song, "Overflow,"...
"Till The Sunrise" is a nice love song, "Tonight" was a catchy tune. "Thornside" was a really great song about the thorn in our sides. It was really fun. It was bluesy, had a country and gospel twang. I liked "Ocean." It was a really great ballad about the peace we get from God. "Everlasting" continued the slow pace that started with "Ocean." The mood got really worshipful here. "One For Another" sped things up a bit. "One In a Million" was a bouncy love song. "Someone Else's Arms" slowed things don again. A lot. "Wish You Were Here" was a little faster and was sounded just like a song you'd hear on a secular radio, in a good way. "Love Can Find A Way" broungt to mind Brandon Heath's "Love Never Fails." The JJ Heller vocals nicely blended with Matt Brouwer's vocals. Both of them have soft voices. "Outside, Inside" was a sad ode. It finished off the album on a sad, somber not.
Overall, this album was a great listen. It's totally worth buying and owning.
A Gem For Sure | Posted February-04-2012
I really enjoyed this album.
Diamond was an upbeat song that started off the album well. Give Them Jesus was insanely catchy and fun to listen and sing along to. Sound of Your Voice was an anthemic song that was very powerful. Stay was really beautiful, it gave me chills. Fall For You was another beautiful ballad. Con El Viento A Mi Favor was a yet another chilling ballad. If only I culd understand it. The song is in Latin(?). Tell Me Again was a fun jazzy song. Girl was bluesy and jazzy and had some mo-town background. Trust In You and Guilt were kind of rock. They were louder than the rest of the album and was kind of heavy on the guitars. Good Morning Sunshine was a sunny, happy, track that finished off the album in a nice way.
This album is SO worth getting. Preorder it on iTunes!
Great Tunes, Cliche Lyrics | Posted January-13-2012
This album if full of great tunes you can hum along to end enjoy, but the problem was with the lyrics. The lyrics were cliche. Those lyrics have been repeated many, many times! As for "Lame," the lyrics were original, but not that great. "Prove It" was funny, but the Francis Chan rap was lacking rhythm and beat. "Ready And Waiting" made me cringe. It is a song about rebuking a wayward friend, but the line "I cannot be your friend" sounded a little mean. Even though the friend was wayward, doesn't mean that we cannot be their friend. As for the other songs, they were great for singing to to praise God, but the lyrics could have been way better.
For pop-fans, this is an album worth listening to, but maybe not buying. As a Jimmy Needham fan, I enjoyed the beats and tunes. But as a fan of good songwriting, I didn't really enjoy the album. If you're also a fan of good lyrics, you might want to look elsewhere.
This album could have been so much better. I hope that Rachel will keep up the good work with the tunes, but upgrade her songwriting skills.
Worship Album Is Great | Posted November-14-2011
I quite enjoyed this worship album. The vocals were sweet! The first track was the best. The second track had lot's of originality. I enjoyed the Kevin Max vocals.. Then, the rest of the album had it's own awesome style. The Newsboys are very versdatile and that's what made the album a good one. But, "Mighty To Save" was a cop and paste of the one in "Born Again: Miracles Edition" and it seemed cheap to do that.
Good album | Posted October-17-2011
The album was actually pretty good. I loved the piano and the vocals. The best song was Miracles, which I thoroughly enjoyed, maybe because it was the first song on the album. Scientists in Japan was an extremely weird song... about robots... that will take your job. Eyes on the Prize was a good song about keeping God in mind through everything.
The second half of the album was pretty draggy, though. We gotta do something about draggy second halves of albums. Or is it me?
Rocked! | Posted October-12-2011
Amped guitars pretty much dominated the album. The vocals were impressive, but the lyrics were okay. For example, "Medicine," was pretty cliche. The lyrics were similar to the Rachael Lampa song. Well, that's just me.
Overall, I enjoyed the album. It's worth getting, for sure.
Interesting style | Posted October-05-2011
The guys at City Harmonic have an interesting way of singing and arranging their songs. The songs at the front of the album are upbeat and interesting, but the rest of the album is rather slow. Yet, most of the songs are very enjoyable. And the last song is a unique rendition of the Lord's Prayer. These guys are really unique. They're definately worth a listen (and many, many more).
Great album! | Posted September-21-2011
Rapture Ruckus MADE me enjoy hip-hop and rap. I used to hate it, and now I like it. The album was pretty much upbeat the whole time and my foot was tapping to the beat most of the album long. This is great for fans of tobyMac!
