Worth Checking Out | Posted May-19-2011
I'm not usually very excited about Christmas releases in general if they are going to focus a lot on the old classic seasonal standbys. Once you've heard 285 different artists versions of the same song you tend to pick one you like the best and the rest kind of get annoying after awhile. This Christmas release seemed mixed with some old classic songs and some new ones I was not familiar with. I actually really like this album and was surprised. The performances are varied and there is a good blend of modern smooth production along with tracks that are very nastalgic and classic in their presentation. This would definitely be a Christmas release I'd recommend people check out.

It's amazing what an oustanding release this is for Newsong. There is good variety from track to track, the musical talent is very good and all the songs are very Christ centered and worshipful. There are many good songs on this album but my favorite would probably be "Too Wonderful"...to me it sounds a lot like the Newsboys from the "Go" era.

This is truly an outstanding collection of music from Newsong that is well crafted and worshipful from beginning to end. There is a lot of variety and different musical textures to keep things from getting tedious our boring and all of the songs are well produced and performed. I am thankful to have the opportunity to listen to this release this week on NRT.

I apparently missed this release initially and only found out about it after "No Far Away" was released. I didn't like this one instantly like I did "No Far Away" but there is an underlying raw talent and brilliance throughout the release. Some of the tracks are great as they are, and others feel like they could do with just a little more work overall. In the end though, Chris is very talented and that definitely shines through on this release. I look forward to hearing more new music from Chris in the future.

This is one of those releases where I instantly enjoyed all the songs upon first listen. All of the songs were exceptionally well crafted with a lot of variety, rhythm, and almost instantly singable. It's great to have an album that is Christ centered that you can pop in and just enjoy listening to know matter what you are doing. There doesn't seem to be a weak song/filler moment on this release.

Excellent Christmas release | Posted May-16-2011
This was one of my favorite new Christmas songs from this past season. Our family enjoyed listening to this one on the local Chistian music station that plays nothing but Christmas songs during the month of December. The song is very well crafted, has you singing along with it very quickly and worshipful. I look forward to hearing more from Chris in the years to come.

The related video was awesome to watch and had me laughing. As someone who has an almost insatiable sweet tooth, I related to this song very well. I plan on sharing this with my family as I think they will love the music video. Hearing this song makes me want to see Chris in concert someday soon. It's great to have something humorous and light-hearted at times and great to know God gave us the ability to laugh.

This is by far the best B429 release I have heard. There is a good mixture of tempos included on these tracks and Christ is front and center as always. Even on first listen, all of the songs stood out and caught my attention and had me singing along. I pray that they will find great success in reaching people for Christ and encouraging those who already know Him with this release.

This was B429's first album and is extremely difficult to find. I was able to locate some of the tracks on the internet and it's great to hear how it all started. I'm really hoping that the bands first two albums will get re-released at some point. I really think fans of the band would enjoy having these early tracks.

There are some really good rough tracks on this release and really reveals the amazing potential of this band. In many ways I like these raw demos better than a lot of the songs that got released on their later albums. This is a very difficult to find CD, but one that would be very interesting for any fans of the band. It is a little rough in the mixing department but rocks from beginning to end.
