La Diferencia EP by NEEDTOBREATHE La Diferencia EP by NEEDTOBREATHE
This is one of the best EPs out- Difference Maker has to be one of the most well written songs I've heard. SO good.  I hate that it's not available to download- I'm stuck listening to youtube versions...
Glorious Ruins Deluxe Edition by Hillsong Worship Glorious Ruins Deluxe Edition by Hillsong Worship
Normally I'm not a big HIllsongs fan because I think that they just crank out songs for the sake of cranking out songs HOWEVER this CD is full of songs that are powerful and creatively done- they aren't...
Need You Now by Plumb Need You Now by Plumb
Plumb has been one of those artists that either hits in right on the head or misses completely - This album is somewhere in between the two- She's not the same artist she was on Chaotic Resolve before-...

A great worship CD | Posted August-24-2009
This album is a great worship album if you are familiar with Jesus Culture/ Kim Walker's stuff you will be familiar with Brian and Jenn Johnson- they have written some awesome/ fairly undiscovered praise and worship songs like "Great and Greatly To Be Praised" and "O taste and See"; as well as stunning worship songs- like the awesome "Where You Go I Go" and "Alittle Longer"

It's a great album for worship leaders or any body who loves new, fresh worship music!

haha- CHurch music- let me laugh | Posted August-22-2009
My main problem with this album is the repetiviness of it- the music is so repetitive that it gets annoying. and then on some of the songs vocally/lyrically he repeats so much of the same thing that it's easy to think that this is all you are going to listen to- to me, it shows a lack of creativity- a lack of something to say.

Another thing I don't like about this album is the over abundance of techno influences- it's too much. I know that DCB has always had some techno beats/flourishes- this album is just too much

The following is my initial reactions hearing the songs for the first time:

All Around Me is the FLYLEAF cover- The beginning is like one of those cheezy string quartet knock offs (musically)- vocally I don't like it- they slowed it way down. It never goes anywhere musically. Never builds into a rousing song- just a debbie downer.

Shine was another mediocre song- good lyrics- but musically it was blah.

Phos Hilron is ok- it's short and experimental

Oh Happiness techno vibe- sounds like a Coke commericial meets the Patridge family.

God Almighty- cool guitar work in the beginning. sounds like their trying alittle too hard to have that "epic" closing song.

Birmingham ok... i'm really beginning to not like this album- sounds like mutemath sucked on a helium baloon

Dance- finally a cool tune. Very dance hall-ish. then throw in some 70s vocals saying Dance... over and over. ok lost me on the chorus- very cheap lyrics. think family force five for 40 year olds- i'm alittle sad- at this point

We are Loved - this song reminds me of "Can you Feel it?" off of REMEDY. not much difference (musically) from those two songs

The Veil - i don't really like all the saws/leads used in these songs. This is a better song- different- so i'm not sure if it equates better- i'm on the fence. very techno-dance hall

Can I lie? i like this song. it's what I like from DCB- alit?tle too repetitive for my taste

In the end it's ok- caught myself thinking- why is this still playing?

the Nearness a classic DCB song- the woman's moaning/groaning in it is annoying.

Eastern Hymn somebody was up late with a Yamaha s90 keyboard and recorded it and put it on this album. I actually kind of like it- nothing to right home about

the light and the shadows - a good song.

I'm really kind of disappointed with this album- there's not really a song that stands out besides "Alleluia Sing" - which is the highlight of the album.

Definetly Not Comatose | Posted August-22-2009
I had high expectations for this album but after listening to it- I can most defeintly say that Comatose was there best album- Caotose was there best album. Comatose was Fresh and new the combination of rock and strings was relatively new to CCM but now it just seems alittle redundant- like they didn't grow creatively on this album.

They have grown alot but still have the same familiar sound. With the new drummer- you get a new dimension. because she sings. Her vocals seem alittle too polished for the music so it is a strange fit for the type of music that ithey are singing to.

I don't care for Hero much the back and forth vocals just seems alittle too much-

Monster is a pretty good song. it rocks.

Don't wake me sounds like a distant cousin to Lips of an Angel by Hinder.

I think that they are trying too hard on the first track the "Waking Up Waking Up is really annoyoying . .

One Day too Late has the over used "tick tock the clock" to symbolize that time is passing- the whole song is alittle cliche' I don't care for it. IT's not me It's you- is another song that I'm not sure I know the point of.

Should've come When You Couldve- is one of those songs that you know was rushed or not well thought out I mean really? are we rhyming should of and could of together just to make a song? what is this Kj-52?

Overall- I wasn't too pleased with the album. It honestly sounds like a bunch of B-sides from Comatose.

I am so excited about this album. I downloaded it and seriously- we use every song on this album at church. It's that good- Some of the songs are well-known but they get injected with new life with the vocals of the radical Kim Walker- the new arrangement of I Exalt thee is stellar

The one that got away | Posted August-07-2009
CCM industry truly jipped her from becoming a CCM star- the female Chris tomlin- this album was a stellar almost perfect pop CCM album. Amazing stuff here- She rocked. She sang ballads. She sang love songs- class act
