Kutless Rocks out With "Sea Of Faces" | Posted December-04-2009
The sophomore release from the Christian Rock band Kutless is a major improvement.
I bought "Sea of Faces" for 3 Reasons
1. I love To Know That Your Alive, and Hearts of The Innocent.
2. I Heard "Treason", "Not What You See", and "Sea of Faces"
3. Because I Love Music/ rock to be more precise.
The album opener "Not What You See" was the first song I ever heard from Kutless and loved it. Sea of Faces was on Wow Hits 2005 which absoulutle grabed my attention and I bought the CD.
This album is the best album of 2004 No questions asked.
Big Daddy Weave...Is Impressive | Posted November-20-2009
BDW is back with there sophomore project "Fields Of Grace" it delievers pwoerful lyrics with great music to along with it.
The opener "Set Me Free" is about the salvation When I had a debt I couldn't pay /
You paid a debt I didn't owe /
You gave your life for me that day /
So freedom I could know /
Set me free
"Why" is about the Christian straying from the Narrow Path and then asking Jesus Christ for forgivness.
"Fields of Grace" is what the Christian walk should be like, where we tell God every trouble, hardship, trial, and then when he answers we dance with Him in "Fields of Grace"
Any fans of Big Daddy Weav's debut album "One and Only" will want to pick this album up. The highlights are..."Set Me Free" "Why" "New Every Morning" and Fields of Grace.
Mediocre | Posted November-16-2009
Big Daddy Weave's 5Th studio album "What Life Would Be Like" is a mediocre album with some highlights like "What life Would Be Like", The Day That You Fond Me", and "Just Like Someone Else"
The opening track "The Day That You Found Me" delivers that classic Big Daddy Weave sound and lyrics, "What Life Would Be Like" has a powerful message in the chorus: He made the lame walk / and the dumb talk / He opened blinded eyes to see / That the sun rises on His time / Yet He knows our deepest desperate need / And the world waits while His heart aches / To realize the dream / I wonder what life would be like if we let Jesus life through you and me.
Then the second half of the album features the Phil Collins remake of "Another Day In Paradise" which is a long and BORING song (6:14) has a good meaning but is to long. The closing song Just Like Somebody Else" has a good meaning with powerful lyrics to get to the heart.
Big Daddy Weave's 5Th studio release is a slump compared to "Every Time I Breath". "What Life Would Be Like" is just mediocre.
Debut: Does Not Sound Like Debut | Posted October-22-2009
"12 Stones" 4 piece "rock" band, has made there debut with "12 Stones."
From the opening track "Crash" I thought I knew what I was in for, (just the typical "Christian" rock album.) But then "Broken" came on and I was surprised!
"Crash" and "Broken" the first 2 songs on the album are taking about fading away from God and then repenting. "The Way I Feel" is his statement of Christian life and wandering of the "Narrow Path" and how he hates it ( sung in the chorus )
'Cause I hate the way I feel tonight
And I know I need you in my life
Yes I hate the way I feel inside
And I promise to make the sacrifice
The closing song on the album "Eric's Song" is about being down and how you should look to Christ through all the turmoil.
This album deserves the 41/2 stars, it gets the 4 1/2 stars.
This does not sound like the typical Debut album they through in the rock effectively and hopefully there other albums are this good!
I Recommend this album to any "Hard Rock" fan out there. "12 Stones" truly rocks out to make an incredible debut!

I've Been Listening to "Reflection of Something" and there are some highlights to this CD.
One of My Favorite Songs of This Album Is "My Jesus" Because it just tells what needs to be said. "Pretty blue eyes / and curly brown hair / and a clear complexion / Is how you see Him as He dies for your sins / But the Word says He was battered and scarred." Those Are Powerful Lyrics; You Just Don't See That In Christian Music Today.
Another Song Is "Unchanging One" Because It Is About How No Matter What We Do, Good Or Bad, He Is The Only Unchanging One. You know when I wake, when I rise, when I pray, when I curse You
And You love me the same. And You know when I stumble and fall and You’re there through it all
The only unchanging one

The Last Highlight Is The Very Energetic Song (And One Of My Favorites) is "Where Were You" because it goes back to the book of "JOB" in the BIBLE. How God Was Talking To Job And Said "Were You There When I Laid The Foundations Of The Earth And Set Its Boundaries", Were You There When I Created The Fist Man And Woman", and Job responds "I Will Just Shut Up, I Know Nothing!
That Is Basically What The Chorus Says
"Where were you when I split the sky and sea?
Where were you when I taught the lion to roar?
Where were you when I made electricity?
Fall from the sky in the middle of a thunderstorm
Where were you?
Then There Are The Songs I Could Just Ignore "Something Beautiful" "New Name" "Isaiah 6"
the bonus track "It Is Well", "Blood On My Hands"
and "Always There"
The Songs I Liked On the Album Were "My Jesus" "Unchanging One" "Where Were You" "The Wonder of It All" & "In The Middle Of Me"

This Cd is a great CD, with Songs Like Let Go, Remember Me, He's My Son, God Has Truly Blessed Mark With A extrodinary Talent. And he is using it to the best of his ability.
Those that have seen Mark Schultz live know the feeling of unity and family that pervades his performance. A CD/DVD combination that captures one of the best live performers CCM has to offer at the top of his game.
Schultz plays contemporary pop, flavored with piano ballads. You could say that it’s nothing out of the ordinary, but then you have to remind yourself that it’s guys like Schultz that set the standard. He’s released three albums prior to this one, and he plays the favorites from all of them, while telling funny and insightful stories about the songs that have gotten him to where he is today. "He’s My Son," "Letters from War," "You Are a Child of Mine," "I Am the Way," and other popular tunes are found on the set. Schultz also tries two brand new tracks on the crowd, neither of which were completely written when the performance was recorded. Still, "Walking Her Home" is a sweet, yet hilarious song, due fully to Schult’z lack of improvisational skills; and you can see the radio hit "I Am" in the making with the quick verse and chorus he plays.
" The main feature, though, is a look into Schultz’s beginnings as a recording artist. What is usually somewhat of a filler bonus with little substance. Schultz helped in the production of the DVD, and it shows at every turn. You get to know the man not just as a recording artist, but as a human being. At least once, he recounts a story of someone’s love and dedication that moves him to tears.
You get to know Mark Schultz on a very intimate level on this project. Few artists would allow such an invasion of privacy, but Schultz seems to embrace his audience (Though he would probably call us "family") with open arms and a warm smile. After viewing it, you can never really listen to his music the same way again. And that, ultimately, is what makes this one a winner
