Lincoln Brewster defines a story of redemption. From a young age, he has been a skilled musician. It was this talent in which he found solace from a dysfunctional family strewn with broken relationships and abuse. During his teenage years, Brewster's parents got divorced and following this, he moved to California. He discovered success there as a session player; not long after, a demo of his found the ears of Randy Jackson, a former "American Idol" judge. Jackson introduced the young musician to Steve Perry, who had previously been the frontman for Journey. Perry offered Brewster a once in a lifetime opportunity - to tour with him as his guitarist.

Although a life in this direction was tempting, Brewster recognized his calling to ministry. He signed with Integrity Music and since then has been releasing music to glorify the kingdom of God. "Perfect Love" is his newest album and will be releasing this Friday, April 30th. We take a look at two of the songs from this album below.

NEW: "Move"

I got a beat in my chest
I got a spring in my step
I got a reason to run

You show me who I can be

We certainly have busy lives, but the question often creeps in. What's the purpose? After all, we know all Earthly things will fade and working for them quickly becomes tiring. But God rejuvenates us. In Him, we find the ultimate reason to live: to serve Him. We have been instructed to grow His kingdom here on Earth. With this as my goal, I find it easier to keep going. Is your foundation feeling shaky today? Switch to standing on God's truth, the rock. It never fails and provides you with a purpose to continue persevering.

NEW: "Who Am I"

Who am I?
That You would think of me
Among a million stars

Shining in the night

In the world, we are constantly presented with images of the perfect life and almost every time, they picture us at the center of everything. However, God switches that pattern. In His presence, we are miniscule. He is so amazingly great and vast that it's beyond description. Taking on a viewpoint based in humility has changed how I live and I challenge you to try it too. God didn't have to save us, but He wanted to. Only our awesome God would do something so extraordinary and He deserves our eternal respect for it.
