Steph Macleod is a worship leader, singer, songwriter, and mental health advocate from Scotland. Steph understands the pains of this world. Through homelessness, addiction and broken family relationships, he has experienced tribulations of many kinds.
Despite his tribulations, God's love has remained strong through it all—and it is that in which he sets his hope. Now, he builds on this love by spreading it through his music. His songs are a unique mix of folk, Ccontemporary Christian, and celtic melodies.
Beyond Steph's music, he shares the Lord's love by engaging with mental health organizations and prison charities. His first music project was released in 2015. And, most recently, he released his O Perfect Father EP.
NEW: "No Other God"
You see my pain You hear my doubts And in that place You fix a crown Adorning me with your salvation
I love how simple this proclamation is. God's love is so immensely complex and vast that it is difficult to comprehend sometimes. But, its applications in our life are pretty easy to understand.
God has the deepest love for us and everyday, He proves it by reaching out to us and listening to all our problems. What's even better is His grace doesn't end there. He forgives us of our sins and cleanses the places in our hearts they had contaminated.
Although it may seem almost too simple, a complementary song to this message is "Jesus Loves Me." Its lyrics exclaim the truth: "Little ones to Him belong/they are weak/But He is strong." We're the weak and He's our strength. He will never forsake us and His love never leaves. God's love is our steadfast foundation ready to hold us and listen when we cry out.
NEW: "Christ Our Hope in Life and Death"
What is our only confidence That our souls to Him belong Who holds our days within His hand What comes apart from His command
Have you ever been on an airplane and looked down at the world below? For many of us, the answer is yes. But, just in case you haven't, let me fill you in. It's a miraculous sight to see everything so minuscule beneath the clouds. The cars look like ants, the houses just brown dots, and the fields are a beautiful organized pattern of green.
I could go on forever about this beauty. But, for the sake of article length, let me get to the point. Our problems tower in front of us like a mountain. We at the bottom of it, see no way around, no way out. It's the overwhelming pressure and stress of these so-called mountains that leads to anxiety and depression.
But, imagine a magnificent bird soaring above the mountain. The bird certainly knows how to get around it. And, even better, that bird is more than willing to share its wisdom with us. Now, although we're still at the bottom of the mountain, we have insight from the wisest to guide us out of our circumstances.
As you may have guessed, the bird represents God. And, we are the little ant at the bottom of the mountain. Our problems seem so large and overpowering, but we have to remember we're children of God. He has a bird's eye view on our life. All we have to do is look up to Him and listen.
