Village Lights is a collective worship group made up of three individual artists (Ike Nodolo, Sarah Kroger, and Ricky Vasquez) who come together to worship. They have created a sound unique to them but more importantly, they have created a community. Their first single was released on February 25 of this year and they just released another single on March 5. This group is passionate about the Lord and making a space where others are welcome to worship Him. We take a look at their two singles below.
NEW: "The Sweetest Sound"
Your love is a melody Lеd me out of slavery Freedom I am glory-bound When my chains hit thе ground
Let’s face it: Life is busy. We often get so wrapped up in it that we forget God is working in our life. I admit I am guilty of it myself. I sometimes only see the negative right in front of me and the problems staring me in the face. But if I choose to look around and get a full view of my situation, I start to see differently. God is still working in my life even when I feel like I’m falling in a hole of despair. When I choose to believe in His Word and when I trust my situation to Him, everything changes. All of a sudden, stress isn’t necessary because I’m not in control of what will happen. God is. He loosed all our chains and led us into freedom. You can trust Him to lead you out of this trial too. Put your faith in the Lord and keep pushing forward. You have God on your side! - “The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail.” Lamentations 3:22
NEW: "Fire and the Fountain"
The fire and the fountain The whisper and the wind The power of your presence
I remember once again
I once heard someone say if you take 5 minutes out of your day to worship God, He will multiply the benefits of those minutes. It seems counterintuitive, but it is so true! Sitting with God in the silence and waiting for Him to speak is better than anything we could anything accomplish in 5 minutes. I encourage you to silence all the distractions, including your cell phone, and just praise God. When life feels out of control, use quiet time as a way to step away and remember that God is in control. Speak to the Lord, and He will listen. He may not deliver you immediately from your trial, but I promise His presence alone is peace enough to get through to the next day.
