Each week, dozens of singles and a handful of projects are released in the Christian Hip-Hop (CHH) and Urban Soul spaces. Below, we listen to a few highlights and list the rest for your own discovery. As always, follow our New Christian Rap & Hip Hop playlist on Spotify to listen to all the latest.
Parris Chariz feat. 1K Phew "Die For Me" An ode to the special lady in his life, Parris Chariz brings a romantic summer anthem to release Friday. Chariz tagged Reach Records' 1K Phew for the feature. Even with the classic lyricism Chariz always provides, the track has a solid R&B vibe throughout. The beat feels like trap music in slo-mo adding a special feel overall.
KHAM - "L00K" It has been a quiet 2020 for Kham in terms of solo music. That has quickly changed with the release of this new single. “L00K” is a hard-hitting, energetic, coming of age track produced by Enzo Gran. Kham raps about his transition from his collegiate days to adulthood over an aggressive synth bass which serves as a complement to the catchy, repetitive hook. KHAM found himself a weekend pleaser with this one!
Tre'Gadd feat. DJ Standout - "Human"
Reflection Music Group's DJ Standout provides a rare feature outside his dope production skill set along the side of Pennsylvania's own Tre'Gadd. DJ KJ provided the production on the track igniting fire behind the incredible lyricism from Tre'Gadd and Standout. The tempo changes in Tre'Gadd's flow are performed seamlessly creating a unique, welcomed sound. This track will definitely be on repeat every Friday night this summer!
