"I can't seem to find the time" was an excuse eliminated months ago. For all of us, life has slowed down in some form and while social gatherings are slowly coming back, stores are beginning to reopen and summer plans are beginning to take shape and hold steady, for some, the world is still very much on lockdown.
Whatever state you find yourself in today, worshipping God and giving Him praise for everything in your life that you do have, recenters your soul like nothing else on earth.
During this continued time of quarantine, no matter what phase you're in, don't stop worshipping. We were created to worship, no matter our circumstances. Here's some worship that was created within this space. May it help you get through another day of uncertainty and may it smash through any fear or frustration you may be feeling.
NEW: Nashville Life Music feat. Leeland "Shepherd"
In the morning when I wake
In the evening when I lay down
My Jesus, oh Your presence follows me around
Come and change the atmosphere
Show me the way to follow You
I'm in the middle of a lot of atmospheres I desperately want God to come and change. I think most of us are. And He may not. So the pray (and solution) is to put our eyes on God, our trust in Him and desires refocused on one thing: Jesus. Lead us and show us the way, God.
NEW: Lincoln Brewster "While I Wait"
While I wait
I will worship
Lord, I’ll worship Your name
While I wait
I will trust You
Lord, I’ll trust You all the same
A song not written or recorded during this time of COVID, but certainly one that has found a welcome home during a time of lives grinding to a halt. I haven't always filled the space created by this season with God. I've missed opportunities to worship and trust, but I can attest that He has been right there with me at every turn. And if I get in front of Him, He's right behind me when I turn to Him. Sometimes we just have to wait in stillness with Him. It's typically where we'll find all of that peace, stability, and love that we're searching for, to begin with.
NEW: UK Churches "The Blessing"
May His favor be upon you
And a thousand generations
And your family and your children
And their children, and their children
This pandemic has ignored all borders, all nationalities, all countries. It's effects have been felt worldwide. So when 65 churches and movements come together to record a special version of "The Blessing," the outcome is a voice of unity that no disease can destroy. An entire nation, unknown brothers and sisters in Christ coming together to declare blessings on others. Sometimes, worship looks like getting outside of yourself and your current situation to pray over others and their well being.
