Although we're all going through a lot right now with this pandemic going on, I think we can agree that Christian music is making this quarantine a bit better. Since we're stuck inside, many artists have used this time to write and release new songs and videos. I've compiled some of these songs for your listening pleasure. I hope they encourage you and lift you up. We're all in this together and that message is reflected in this music.

1. for KING & COUNTRY (feat. Kirk Franklin & Tori Kelly) "Together"

I absolutely love for KING & COUNTRY's music, so I was excited to hear that they would be releasing new music. Although the song was written and recorded before the pandemic, and the band has been including it in their set on the Burn the Ships World Tour, the band decided to release it while we're under quarantine. The song's message is very relevant for this rough season. for KING & COUNTRY recorded "Together" with Kirk Franklin and Tori Kelly. Their voices sound great together. The creative music video for this song really captures this idea of togetherness, including various stories from their fans, and was recorded in their homes during this season.

2. Matthew West "Quarantine Life"

To lighten the mood, Matthew West released a hilarious song called "Quarantine Life." It's relatable for so many. From toilet paper to Netflix's documentary Tiger King, Matthew goes through many of the quarantine trends and sings about all of the things that we're missing (Target, Starbucks, you get the idea). It's a fun and catchy song that you'll want on repeat during the quarantine.

3. Amanda Lindsey Cook "Help Is On The Way"

Amanda Lindsey Cook recently released a beautiful, yet timely, song called "Help Is On The Way." It's a reminder that we'll make it through this pandemic, and Jesus will carry us all the way. Amanda's voice is absolutely enthralling. The lyrics to this song will truly leave you speechless: "I'll stay right by your side/keep your hand in mine/I'll hold you through the night/it's gonna be ok/help is on the way."

4. Dillon Chase - "It Could Be Worse"

Dillon Chase did an amazing job with his new single, "It Could Be Worse." He pointed out that our current situation could be much worse than it is, without minimizing the pain that so many of us are going through. As long as we have breath in our lungs, we have the ability to realize that our situation could be worse. If Jesus didn't deliver us from our sins, things would also be so much worse. What an eyeopener.

5. Steven Curtis Chapman (feat. Brad Paisley, Lauren Alaina, and Tasha Cobbs Leonard) "Together (We'll Get Through This)"

What happens when a talented Christian artist collaborates with two country music legends and a soulful gospel artist? They release an amazing new song! Steven Curtis Chapman teamed up with Brad Paisley, Lauren Alaina, and Tasha Cobbs Leonard to bring us "Together (We'll Get Through This)." The song was written, recorded, and produced within a short amount of time during the quarantine. It's a hopeful reminder that we're going to get through this pandemic together.

6. Bethel Music - Peace

If you're currently battling fear and anxiety, Bethel Music's new album, Peace, is for you. Bethel started the Peace project about a year and a half ago. But, they didn't know when the right time would be to release it. As they watched everything unfold with the pandemic, they decided to release it now–the perfect time. It's such an impressive album, featuring songs from Kari Jobe, We The Kingdom, Cory Asbury, and others.

7. Matthew West - "Take Heart"

Yes, Matthew West released two new songs during the pandemic. The song is so relevant for right now. But, I believe it will be relevant for years to come. The music video was filmed by the band members' homes, which is so cool to see. The song is based on John 16:33 (NIV) that says, "In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart. I have overcome the world." That's something that we all need to hear right now.

8. Nashville Life Music feat. Leeland "Shepherd"

This video was recorded with Leeland in the middle of the pandemic. It speaks to atmospheres we desperately want God to come and change. And He may not. So the prayer (and solution) is to put our eyes on God, our trust in Him and desires refocused on one thing: Jesus. Lead us and show us the way, God.
