Unmatched talent, a passion for ministry and a deep love for the Churchfor 20 years these have been constants for the musical tour de force known as Selah. Amassing more than 4 million units in sales; eight Gospel Music Association Dove Awards; a Gold-certified album and eight #1 singles, the trio's signature hits include, "You Raise Me Up," "Wonderful, Merciful Savior," and "You Amaze Us." Compromised of Todd Smith, Allan Hall and Amy Perry, the trio has together graced stages like Carnegie Hall, Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium, and the Grand Ole Opry, while touring with such artists as Casting Crowns, Point of Grace, Steven Curtis Chapman, Natalie Grant, Michael W. Smith and more. Selah's hope and prayer has always been for their music to carry a message of hope and healing, share the gospel of Jesus, and ultimately point people to the love of God.
On their 2019 Integrity Music debut, Selah pursues a more worshipful sound and lyric on Firm Foundation. Below, we explore some practical application for today from one of the biggest songs from that release, along with a classic from the group.
NEW: "I Belong To Jesus (Oh Hallelujah)"
I belong to Jesus
The cross that once was mine
Became the curse that He would bear
And give to me new life
Think about this cycle. The sin we committed should be our punishment to bear. But God takes that sin, and then He bears it. But what's even more incredible is that He casts it as far as the East is to the West and returns love, redemption, forgiveness, new life. That entire process creates more than a Hallalujah in our lives.
CLASSIC: "Wonderful Merciful Savior"
You are the one that we praise You are the one we adore. You give the healing and grace our Hearts always hunger for
I don't think we realize how much we need from God on a daily basis. Healing and grace for our broken, hurting and longing hearts, especially during these long months, can be constant. But when we can praise God, when we can adore what only He can bring into our lives, the things that we so desperately need to walk upright through the day are given. God is good. All the time!
