If it feels like pop artist V.Rose has been flying under the radar, the truth is she's been hard at work. The second half of 2018 was a power-packed time for the artist in terms of putting out music, especially when it comes to collaborations.
V laced the hooks of Roy Tosh and Mission's singles, respectively, generating a good deal of radio play with Mission's "Thank The Lord." "Shooter" - Bizzle (feat. V.Rose)
Bizzle and V.Rose just dropped this new track in March and it's already one of our favorite collabs from V.Rose. Pray us through the roof / like a shooter / shoot prayers through the roof
"Thank You Lord" - Mission (feat. V.Rose)
Mission and V.Rose generated a good deal of radio play with this track, and rightfully so. Gratitude to God is always in order, but the way Mission flowed and V. Rose added the sauce is simply a vibe.
"Stronger" - Roy Tosh (feat. V.Rose)
This midtempo song of inspiration is one to play when you need a good "pick me up" or just one to vibe to. V.Rose sings beautifully and weaves her runs in and out of her chorus. Additionally, Roy Tosh does this sing/rap combo that works well.
"SOS"
Her single "SOS" dropped last summer without much promo, which is unfortunate since the song is a bop. V.Rose candidly speaks of how she was in dire need of God's help even though she tried to do things independently of him.
"Jetpack" (feat. Young Noah)
V.Rose and Young Noah have really become quite the duo who really enjoy working with one another. She does more of a duet with him on this track, singing a verse and a hook, and sounds very comfortable singing over the trap beats as she nails this one as well.
"It Ain't Christmas Without You"
V.Rose was not done for 2018! Sticking true to her urban/hip-hop vibe, V.Rose gave us something to hold onto for the holiday season and released a Christmas EP. The songs are originals that could definitely be enjoyed past the season. Young Noah returned the favor on the title track, but it's V.Rose who showed her skills as a rapper. It was also a joy to hear an urban/hip-hop nod to "Oh Holy Night" with the Mission assisted, "It is the Night."
