Music videos are known to be platforms where artists can express themselves artistically in a different way than on albums. Because of this, many videos are incredibly unique, moving, and have meanings behind every corner. While most are easy to enjoy, there are some that leave us scratching our heads as to what the artist was trying to convey.
Here are five of the most bizarre music videos made in Christian music history.
5. "My Mistake" by MxPx
These guys have made some weird music videos throughout their long-time punk rock career, but "My Mistake" is by far one of the most memorable. Not only does the audience get to see the silly personalities of http://www.newreleasetoday.com/artistdetail.php?artist_id=67

4. "There Is Only You" by Smalltown Poets
While setting the scene at a cake walk seems different,
Smalltown Poets manages to pull off something oddly entertaining in the music video for "There Is Only You." Between the band's outdated suits, the crazy style of cakes, and the colorful characters participating in the walk, this video is full of things that make us scratch our heads and laugh out loud. Not to mention the food fight brilliantly closing out the end of the video. We may not know what they were trying to say, but one thing's for sure: we now all want cake.
3. "Someday" by Plankeye
Plankeye was one of the earliest bands to be signed to Tooth & Nail Records back in the 90s, as well as one of the most unique. When they made the music video for the song "Someday" off their fourth studio album titled
The One and Only, they decided to blend their alternative rock style with popular culture and create a video reflecting that of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The video may be weird and hysterical, but the song is a Plankeye staple.
2. "A Flowery Song" by Five Iron Frenzy
This band is known for their crazy antics and goofy personalities, and the video for their song "A Flowery Song" is no different. Nothing about it quite makes sense, but that's the beauty of
Five Iron; they don't have to make sense, and they know it. This particular video is one of my favorites from Christian music because, while strange, it always puts a smile on my face. Five Iron Frenzy is very important in the underground Christian music scene, and this video is an excellent example of their style and quirks.
1. "Mono Synth" by Joy Electric
Having always been considered Christian music royalty,
Joy Electric had the freedom to bring something baffling to the table when it came to their music videos. "Mono Synth," however, is particularly strange. With white body paint and snug doctors-type uniforms, it brings flashbacks of when Mike Teavee gets shrunk in place of a giant chocolate bar in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. And if that doesn't spell out bizarre, nothing will.
