One of the most exciting things in Christian music is seeing new talent exploding onto the scene. Getting to hear new stories and personalities come alive through songs is what keeps things fresh, and for me, is one of the best parts of covering the industry.
Record label Integrity Music has been adding to the excitement with a steady stream of top-notch new worship artists in recent months. Joining an already-impressive roster of greats like All Sons & Daughters, Darlene Zschech, Jaci Velasquez, Lincoln Brewster, Paul Baloche and Planetshakers (almost all of whom have recent releases), Integrity has also been hard at work bringing fans a batch of brand new artists to love.
In honor of newcomers MDSN, Alisa Turner, Greg Sykes, Corey Voss and Seth & Nirva bursting into the industry this year in powerful ways, here's a quick look behind these new names who you'll be hearing from very soon, thanks to Integrity Music.
1. MDSN
At the young age of only 16, Dallas-based songwriter/worship leader MDSN ("Madison") is the newest artist to be welcomed into the Integrity family. MDSN grew up singing in church alongside her worship leader parents--David and Nicole Binion of Covenant Worship--making her far from a beginner, and setting the stage for her to now infuse her electronic vibes into praise-filled tracks for the next generation of worshippers. Showcasing a style that combines pop, EDM, worship and acoustic elements, MDSN's debut single "Kerosene" just released to radio with a full project set to drop early next year.
2. Alisa Turner
With a passion and authenticity in her voice that cannot be taught, only cultivated through life experience, Alisa Turner (also part of Integrity's All About Worship team) is a worship leader who has spent her life singing God's praise into the darkest nights. Through illness, loss, pain and tragedy, Alisa continues to thread her solid faith and steady hope into the songs she crafts, producing musical moments that feel both vulnerable and bold as she tells of His faithfulness in her story. Alisa's debut self-titled EP is set to release later this month, with the first single "My Prayer For You" at radio now.
3. Greg Sykes Another recent addition to the Integrity team, Canadian Greg Sykes is a Covenant Award-winning songwriter and worship leader. His debut EP, Reverse, released earlier this year and marked the vocalist's first solo project with five tracks that sing of God's goodness and faithfulness in every season of life. Led by producers Seth Mosley and Bryan Fowler, Greg mixes honest lyricism with a worshipful heart and pop productions to craft a sound that is sure to set him on a successful path in what's to come.
4. Seth & Nirva
Though Seth & Nirva Ready are both already seasoned artists in their own respects, the duo angle is still fresh for the husband and wife. After much time spent on the road separately as background vocalists for other artists (Nirva most notably serving with tobyMac's Diverse City Band), the couple recently decided it was time to bridge the gap and begin performing together. Their full-length debut as Seth & Nirva released last year, featuring the successful single "Brother" and finally putting the two powerhouse vocalists on the map side-by-side.
5. Corey Voss Added to the Integrity roster back in June, Corey Voss serves as the worship pastor of Gateway Church in Tennessee and is also a member of the All About Worship team alongside labelmate Alisa Turner. A passionate and gifted songwriter, Corey majored in church ministry and has had songs recorded by artists like Selah, Jaci Velasquez and Paul Baloche. His Integrity live recording debut EP, Songs Of Heaven & Earth: Volume 1, released last month with five new tracks for the Church to sing.
Caitlin Lassiter is a North Carolina girl that loves Jesus, music, concerts, writing, C.S. Lewis, and sweet tea... She's also a worship leader dreaming of traveling the world to share God's love.
