The Christmas season is a time infused with reflection, nostalgia and a lot of good music. Some of your favorite musicians shared the memories and songs that have made Christmas special for them personally.
"I remember one year my parents hid a family gift. They had us looking high and low all over the house. Finally they directed us to the Christmas tree, where they had rolled up a little piece of paper with a riddle on it. It was SO fun to try and guess what it was they were giving us. We finally figured out that they were surprising us with a ski trip, which we had never taken before, and we all fell out on the floor shrieking with delight!"
"'O' Holy Night' is my favorite Christmas song because it captures the mystery and the 'thrill of hope' that we have because the God of the universe became a man on that Holy Night to show the 'soul it's worth.' It's powerful and full of hope."

"My favorite memory was building snowmen with my family when we'd get a lot of snow. Drinking hot chocolate and playing board games always went hand in hand on those days."
"My favorite Christmas song is 'Silent Night' because it's such a reminder of how peaceful the Christmas season is."

"My favorite childhood Christmas memory is shopping for gifts for my family at a secondhand market that a bunch of grandmas set up for kids in my neighborhood. Gifts were 5 cents, 10 cents, and the grandmas would wrap them up for you! Of course, if you didn't have money, it magically appeared in your pockets while the little grandmas helped you pick gifts out."

"When I was seven my father, who was a youth pastor in New York, asked one of his leaders to dress up as Santa and come to our house. I knew he wasn't Santa but I loved that my dad cared enough about me and my little brother to make Christmas special for us in that way. Plus I got a remote control car, so that was amazing."

"We used to always go to my Grandma's house on Christmas Day and open gifts with everyone. I always loved seeing all my cousins and playing with the toys that everyone got."
"My favorite Christmas song is 'White Christmas' - I've always loved this song, growing up in Arkansas we never got much snow but I always felt like singing this song could make it happen."

"My favorite childhood Christmas memory is driving out into the country to pick out and chop down our family Christmas tree. It reminds me of Chris' favorite Christmas movie 'Christmas Vacation,' which we also watch every year!
"Chris' favorite Christmas album is Charlie Brown Christmas, which we pretty much play all year round. Amy Grant's 'Tender Tennessee Christmas' is all the more special to me this year with our new house in Nashville and our son. Milo, to celebrate it with!"
