The songwriters and worship leaders at Bethel Music have penned profound, poignant songs of praise for many years now, but only now has emerged into the collective consciousness of the modern worship movement. Whereas their songs once were covered by other artists and then would win awards, the collective now is winning awards and getting radio airplay in its own right.
While Brian and Jenn Johnson, Steffany Gretzinger and Jeremy Riddle are some of the bigger names you already know coming out of the Redding, California revivalist movement, the worship collective has continued to grow and add talented and anointed songwriters and leaders from across North America.
With the recent release of Jonathan David & Melissa Helser's Beautiful Surrender, we're doing roll call with Bethel Music's new class of worshippers; get to know some of the latest additions!
Jonathan David & Melissa Helser From: Sophia, N.C. Role at Bethel Church: Songwriters/Worship Leaders
In a nutshell: Husband and wife team Jonathan David and Melissa Helser have been involved in worship and ministry their entire lives, having poured lots of love and energy into the multifaceted community and retreat center in the forests of Sophia, North Carolina started by Jonathan's parents, A Place for the Heart. Their participation in intentional community, discipleship and artistic expression have fueled worship leading and songwriting for years, catching the attention of the Bethel Music Collective, who welcomed the Helsers to their ranks in 2014. Although they released their debut on Bethel Music in 2014 with On the Shores, the Helsers emerged in modern worship consciousness with their powerful Sunday morning declaration, "No Longer Slaves" from 2015's We Will Not Be Shaken. They just released their second record on Bethel Music together, Beautiful Surrender, and were featured on the collective's Have It All project earlier this year.
Amanda Cook From: Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Role at Bethel Church: Songwriter/Worship Leader
In a nutshell: Amanda Cook has been part of the Bethel Music collective since 2010, and showed up on everyone's radar when Bethel released her song "You Make Me Brave," from the live album of the same name. She since released a critically acclaimed solo project on Bethel Music, Brave New World, although it's far from her first individual album. As Amanda Falk, she released several albums, including 2010's In Between the Now and Then.
Leeland Mooring
From: Baytown, Texas (currently in Nashville, Tenn.) Role at Bethel Church: Songwriting and conferences
In a nutshell: Leeland Mooring has been a familiar name in the Christian music sphere, having made a splash as a teenager with Sound of Melodies, the 2006 breakthrough debut album of his band, Leeland. Grammy and Dove nominations abound, and despite being mainstays in the Christian music industry, Leeland (now a duo with Mooring and Casey Moore) has centered its creative energies on the Bethel Music worship movement. Leeland's Bethel Music debut, Invisible, was well-received by critics and listeners, recognizing the excellent amalgamation of Mooring's musical and lyrical prowess with those at Bethel.

In a nutshell: Kalley Heiligenthal started leading worship as part of a student-led ministry in college, and her draw to the emerging generation has continued deep into her adult life. She has been on staff at Bethel's School of Supernatural Ministry--their two-year post-secondary school training program in Redding--for several years, previously mentoring students as a Revival Group Pastor. She made her debut on a Bethel Music recording as part of the new class of worship leaders with 2015's We Will Not Be Shaken, where her song "Ever Be" quickly became an album (and Sunday morning) favorite.

They relocated to Redding to join Bethel's staff in 2011, where in addition to serving as part of the worship leading/songwriting team at the church, Paul works for online worship resource WorshipU as its Communications and Student Experience Manager, and Hannah is a freelance photographer and videographer for Bethel Music.

During his time at IHOP, Asbury released two solo albums, and was featured on numerous IHOP compilation albums. He made his debut with Bethel Music as part of this year's project, Have It All.
