Fans of David Crowder know him as the rootsy frontman of the groundbreaking "folktronica" band, Crowder. Or maybe they know him as the worship pioneer who led David Crowder*Band. 

But nobody knows David like his parents. 

So backstage at one of Crowder's shows, we asked his parents, Dan and Marian Crowder, to share with us a special story from David's childhood years. They immediately recalled the story of how they tried to get their son to stop sucking his thumb.
