She's a powerhouse soloist in her own right, but V.Rose has worked with many different artists. Here are our favorites.
Since the beginning, bubbly pop princess V. Rose's music has stood out. With ever-encouraging lyrics and a powerhouse voice to match, she quickly became an artist to watch. Anyone who has followed V's music for a while knows that she's big on collaborations. Whether it's a guest appearance on a fellow artist's album or a feature on her own music, she has worked with some of the biggest names in Christian urban and rap music.
In honor of her newest release, Hearts Up, we're taking a look at five of our favorite V. Rose collabs.
1. "Surrender" by FLAME feat. V.Rose
In my personal favorite collaboration she's ever been part of, V.Rose was introduced to the Christian music world with her hauntingly beautiful vocals to this Flame track from 2010's Captured. "I'm never gonna run away from You / I open up my heart to You / I'm Yours," V. sings out to open the song.
2. "Beautiful Life" by Trip Lee feat. V.Rose
With this track from 2012's The Good Life, Trip and V. tell the story of a girlfriend/boyfriend caught off guard by an unexpected pregnancy, then round out the song by speaking of the beauty of all life and grace for those who have had abortions in the past. V.Rose's vocals on the chorus really enhance the moment.
Bringing a more electronic pop feel, this track from V.Rose's 2014 album Forever After is a good fit for any dance party. V's soaring vocals contrast well against KJ-52's rap verses to create a fun moment.
4. "Forever Endeavor" by V.Rose feat. Shonlock
Here's another from the collab-heavy Forever After. Starting off on the softer side, this song shows off the grittier side of V's voice in the first verse before bringing the tempo back up and introducing Shonlock's energetic part.
5. "Take A Broken Heart" by V.Rose feat. Derek Minor
In her most pop-infused release yet, newest EP Hearts Up includes this track with Derek Minor where V. tries her own hand at rapping. In the midst of more contemporary pop songs, this collaboration hearkens back to V.Rose's urban roots.
