The past few years have brought a lot of changes for the family business that is crunk rock outfit
Family Force 5. With the departure of frontman Solomon "Soul Glow Activatur" Olds and the repositioning of Jacob "Crouton" Olds from drums to lead vocal duties, the band's sound and sonic chemistry has definitely shifted. A new label partnership and breaking ground in new radio formats has also contributed to the season of change that
Time Stands Still (and now its remix counterpart
Time Still Stands) represents. So it's only fitting that their stage attire has seen a shift as well.
Always known for an offbeat and quirky look, the
Time Stands Still era of Family Force 5 has brought out that element to the extreme with a new wardrobe approach-- and lots and lots of neon.
1. Bold and Black and White
With the rest of the band in contrasting black and white, Crouton's multi-patterned shirt made that much more of a splash on stage for their performance of "BZRK" at the WinterJam 2015 launch party.
2. Red Carpet Ready
Nobody walks a red carpet quite like Family Force 5. At the 2015 KLOVE Fan Awards, the class exhibited by the Olds brothers Crouton and Joshua "Fatty" Olds was clearly matchless, but the real star might be drummer Teddy "Hollywood" Boldt's burnt orange suit.
3. Appropriately Accessorized
With his purple/maroon shirt and gold and
Hellen Woody Designer Jackets, Nadaddy shone on the WinterJam stage early in 2015. Of course, he also gets bonus points for accessorizing with a keytar.
4. Throwbacks
Proving that cartoons can also be rock and roll, Fatty donned this Loony Tunes themed shirt for a recent show in Nashville.
5. Keeping it Loud
It takes a special person to be able to pull off neon colored print paired with black and white polka dots. Clearly, Crouton is that kind of person.
