#1 - Rephrase
@markhallCC: Song Writing: The art of saying something everyone is thinking in a way that they've never said it before. http://moby.to/a4s39u (May 13)

Mark Hall of Casting Crowns gave us a definition of songwriting this week. Songs are like no big deal, right?

#2 - While It's Hot
@FamilyForce5: Oh my goodness...you guys are in for a HUGE treat! New FF5 music coming to you this summer, and it is ridiculous. More info soon! (May 13)

Hot on the heels of their "Chainsaw" video, Family Force 5 announced that there will be new material coming at you—very soon. Stay tuned to their twitter feed!

#3 - Release Recommendations
@karijobe: Just downloaded the amazing new @shaneandshane album. It's awesome you guys! http://shane.cta.gs/09b (May 14)

Kari Jobe took the time this week to endorse the latest from due Shane & Shane. Pick up Bring Your Nothing at the link above.

#4 - Dual Employment
@TFKTrevor: In the studio in between baby feedings, what a hilarious dichotomy...(Yawn). #gameface #peoplewritetheirbeststuffwhenthey'retired #nottrue (May 17)

Being a daddy and a rockstar at the same time isn't an easy lifestyle, but Trevor of Thousand Foot Krutch seems to be pulling it off in style.

#5 - Social Skills
@owlcity: "What time does the 7 o'clock bus leave" -my social skills (May 17)

For all of us who have had socially awkward moments: you're not alone. Adam Young (Owl City) is in the same boat.

#6 - Hazardous Materials
@JFrankenstein: Hershey's Chocolate Syrup has 2 layers of child-proof seals. 1.5 liter bottle of Char- Broil lighter fluid has none. #thegrocery (May 17)

This observation from Jeff of the Newsboys begs the question: what really is more dangerous for your children, lighter fluid or excessive amounts of sugar?

#7 - Carrot Cake
@RyanSaundersTH: I will continue assuming carrot cake isn't that bad because carrots contain very few calories (May 18)

Ryan of These Hearts' logic makes sense, right? We hope so.

#8 - Corn Hole Challenger
@DrSethBolt: The 2 best feelings in life: 1. Being surrounded by ppl that love you. 2. Beating them at corn hole. (May 18)

NEEDTOBREATHE's bass player's priorities are clear. On a related note, if Seth ever challenges you at cornhole, you might want to think twice.

#9 - Turn Around
@codydriggers: Is it weird to have a crush on the voice of the drive up bank teller? I thought so. (May 18)

Although it's not unusual for fans to fall in love with artists' voices, Cody of The Wedding might be experiencing some kind of reverse effect here.

#10 - Family Business
@LMontherun: Theres a volume competition goin on here between band practice & Dad sanding the window outside... #wknds (May 18)

The downside for keeping a band all in the family is occasional scheduling conflicts around the house... as in the case of Children 18:3.

TOP TEN PICTURES

#1 - Big Fish
@matthew_west: "I caught a fish THIS big..." Send me your own caption for this pic. pic.twitter.com/YZR7XFNAu5 (May 13)

Bet you didn't know that Matthew West is an expert fisherman—so long as the fish in question happens to be inflatable.

#2 - Guest List
@nicholenordeman: Writing retreat. Brought these friends. http://instagram.com/p/ZVn9f9LHwH/ (May 15)

Just in case you wondered who cornerstone Christian singer/songwriter Nichole Nordeman hangs out with when she needs inspiration... check out her writing retreat's guestlist.

#3 - Branching Out
@mikedonehey: Well...Here it is folks. My man, @sanafrican and I have finished our homemade book, "Living Alive" http://instagram.com/p/ZVnw4kKhIW/ (May 15)

Mike Donehey of Tenth Avenue North keeps himself busy-- most recently through a print project with a friend. As of yet these aren't available for public purchase, but stay tuned.

#4 - Musicians At Home
@davidmzach: I fixed Anna's front loader washer. Clogged coin filter. Several guitar picks among other things pic.twitter.com/YKMQF6MXbC (May 15)

David Zach of Remedy Drive's experience illustrates well some of the hazards of living in a musician's household.

#5 - Stand Still
@mikescheuchzer: Sometimes when traffic is at a standstill on the interstate you just gotta stop & smell the flowers… http://instagram.com/p/ZbNZiRFbUG/ (May 17)

Getting stuck in traffic isn't all bad, as Mike Scheuchzer of MercyMe captured this week on a Texas highway. Sometimes a slow down is what we need.

#6 - Conflicting Interests
@willister86: Less than 36 hours ago I was at a Grammy party. Now, I'm where I feel more at home; at the shop. http://instagram.com/p/ZamRb_iJFI/ (May 17)

Rush of Fools' frontman likes to keep it real-- no amount of recognition is going to rearrange his priorities.

#7 - Classy Chairs
@macpowell: Found my new favorite chair! #whatsthisdoinginachurch? http://twitpic.com/crh2ce (May 18)

Mac Powell of Third Day found this classy chair at a church venue this week. We're pretty sure he needs to incorporate this into their stage set up.

#8 - Hammer Time
@abandonrock: Throwin' down some floors for Grandma #hammertime pic.twitter.com/YN475xAPNQ (May 18)

For Abandon this weekend, “hammer time” was quite literal.

#9 - Everyday Adventures
@christynockels: gotta love when you're taking out the trash and........ pic.twitter.com/2pYB7KdHyI (May 18)

Taking out the trash automatically becomes more hardcore when snakes are involved.

#10 - Sunny Shows
@swpJustin: Just getting in some quality beach time before tonight's show. I have a tough job http://instagram.com/p/Zdvzo7ACKH/ (May 18)

Sidewalk Prophets' show in Florida this weekend certainly came with a unique set of job perks.

Mary is a Christ-follower and writer who has been telling stories for as long as she can remember. She recently earned a B.A. in Digital Writing and wherever she finds herself, chances are she has a camera, guitar, and coffee cup always close at hand.
