Hmmmm... | Posted November-08-2010
I'm alittle disappointed in this album. It lacks the rawness of there previous works- alittle too polished for me. Also disappointed that the DVD contains extended versions of the song and an ENTIRE song that didn't make it on the album (Kingdom- although it is on their EP). I loved their extended songs- thought it was more authentic and kinda cool that they captured those moments on a CD - ex: How He Loves was 13 minutes long- and worth every second. Some of the songs on this album have been done so many times- I dont really care to here another version of it- "Freedom reigns"/ "Rooftops"- there's only two or three original songs. Kind of a step backwards- But I love the group.

Really? | Posted November-08-2010
I just get tired of the same formula used for every worship song- God Be Praised the title track isn't as outstanding as the crowd recorded in it seems to think.

Surprised | Posted November-08-2010
I really didn't have much expectations for this album because I just figured it was another way to get someone to buy the same songs in a new package- CCM is famous for doing that. But I was really surprised that the arrangements and the songs sound really good- some are more relate-able in the stripped down mode. I really enjoyed it.

It's alright | Posted October-12-2010
it's alright- some of the lyrics are quite mediocre and it sounds like some of their previous stuff- but hey when you've been around as long as they have for them to JUST now be getting the Tomlin-itis isn't bad!

Such a great CD | Posted October-12-2010
Such a great Christmas CD we play this around Christmas time at our church and we've used a lot of the songs and arrangements in our worship service. They did a great job making them current

Best | Posted October-12-2010
One of the best worship compilations that was ever made- by one of the best bands in CCM....................................................................seriously. It's worth the money esp. if you can find the 2 discs together!

Stellar | Posted September-28-2010
Anything Bebo Norman produces is pretty much a sure fire winner for me. I love this dude. I didn't like his last CD- it was overproduced. but I think that this Cd has just enough production quality of "Try" that I will find it appealing

Up with the trends | Posted September-21-2010
It's nice for a CCM group to be current with the trends that are going on in music NOW! The dance beat/hip hop flair they've got going is sometimes better than their secular counterparts.

Very cool | Posted August-24-2010
It's a cool album. Sonically it's pretty sweet- It's a good personal listening album but for worship leaders it will be really tough to recreate some of the songs- so I don't really consider it a "worship album"- although songs on it could be used for worship. Vocally it's always stellar and always introduces some genre bending riffs and techniques that are fun.
