A fresh young talent with a profound message, Roy Tosh is a rapper born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. Roy Tosh is a combination of his birth names. As a high school student, Roy lived for the limelight of fame on the basketball court—and the benefits of his earned reputation when he stepped off the court. After graduating from high school, Roy encountered God in such a powerful way that he waved goodbye to his “personal fame” and instead began a relentless pursuit to represent the Famous One. Despite the absence of a musical background, Roy Tosh found himself filled with a message that poured out of his soul through rap music. Remembering the influence that rap artists had on his teenage years, Tosh knew that there was no better way for him to reach others with a positive message. Roy Tosh delivers an authentic message about life—and adds to it the hope that is only found through the Gospel.
Under his former artist name “737,” Roy has shared platforms with bands such as Pillar, Britt Nicole, Amber Bullock, Todd Dulaney, Level 3:16, and Brooke Barrettsmith, as well as other Christian rappers such as J'son, Flame, k-Drama, Viktory, D-M.A.U.B, and more. He also got to open up for Grammy winning recording artist, Lecrae. Roy Tosh has worked beside many national speakers with organizations such as FCA, Student Venture, Wyld Life, Young Life, and has ministered at a variety of churches, camps, and youth groups across the United States. His music videos have been played on JCTV as well as other Christian television shows. He released his first two LP’s under his former artist name entitled, "Get You Some" & “Convinced.” The album’s featured artists such as R-Swift, D-Maub, k-Drama, J’son, Dillon Chase, & Level 3:16. “Convinced” peaked at #25 on iTunes' Hip-Hop/Rap charts.
Recently, Roy moved to Orlando, Florida with his wife and starting being mentored by nationally knownrecording artist Benjah. Benjah and Reach Records recording artist “Andy Mineo” helped Jeff re-brand his name coming up with “Roy Tosh.” Benjah played a major role in challenging Roy Tosh to study the current culture in order to have maximum effect with his music. He also helped him develop a melodic side to his brand, stretching him beyond being just a rapper. Roy Tosh just released a free mix-tape called “The Revert” which features Benjah, Deraj, TJ Pompeo, & Black Knight. He has continued to share platforms with artists such as Tedashii, Benjah, Canon, V.Rose, Flame, & more. He was also recently featured on Benjah’s album “Haze N Reflections” alongside RMG recording artist Canon. Roy Tosh is available to teach, rap and share his testimony to young people throughout the world.
