Five-time GRAMMY nominee, NSAI's 2025 and 2022 Songwriter-Artist of the Year and award-winning hitmaker Matthew West has topped the Christian radio charts this week with his latest single "Good," marking his 39th No. 1 song as an artist and songwriter and further cementing his title as "one of Christian music's most prolific songwriters" (Billboard). This month, he's up for Male Artist of the Year at the 2026 K-LOVE Fan Awards.
Written by West with AJ Pruis, "Good" has become West's fastest-rising single since 2013. Drawing inspiration from the Book of Romans, the song traces West's journey from striving to surrender, contrasting human weakness with God's unwavering goodness. Anchored by a powerful, sing-along chorus, the song reframes grace as something not earned by effort, but freely given because God is good.
The No. 1 comes during a season of continued momentum for West, who recently released his latest book, Don't Stop Praying: The God Who Hears Is Just a Breath Away, a personal and Bible-based look at the power of prayer.
