Each week, dozens of singles and a handful of projects are released in the Christian Hip-Hop (CHH) and Urban Soul spaces. Below, we have listed a few highlights and included the rest for your review. THE PROPER TAPE by Fern x ROBO2k Social Club Misfits and Apollo Records’ FERN drops his first new music of 2026. For over 15 years, he’s been dropping incredible bars aside of Marty with Social Club/Social Club Misfits as well as tapping into personal talent on solo mixtapes and EPs. This time around isn’t any different.
Fern wrote the current project through the point of view (POV) of encompassing his lyrical stride recently, even though music has been part of his career for nearly two decades. Regardless of continuous and different valleys eclipsed with victorious mountains, God has always shown up and right on time (as usual). Fern conducts daily life as a living testimony showcasing the consistency of God. Even though Fern feels the CHH space is currently oversaturated with artists who mainly work towards positive social media metrics and a heightened presence, he continues to rap with confidence and certified prowess.
Favorites off the EP include “86 Fernie,” “Metanoia,” and “God is Never Late.” The entire project is produced by ROBO2k – an up-and-comer 21-year-old producer about to change the entire soundscape of CHH. Fern references his artistic talents as audio landscapes and portraits. He lyrically paints images for listeners to envision and appreciate. Get ready for a masterpiece.
Hulvey and nobigdyl. - "ROOFTOP" Reach Records’ Hulvey and indie tribe.’s nobigdyl. link up for an instant classic. “ROOFTOP” immediately reverted my thought process back to Hulvey’s gold-certified single “Altar.” Beauty in the lyrics. Beauty in the delivery. Instantaneously transporting my mind and soul into the state of worship. Each component of the track renders flawless execution. From the sample presented at the introduction to dyl.’s romantic lyrical utterances, I love everything this track signifies.
I thought “Beautiful” was my all-time favorite selection from Hulvey’s cinematic discography, however, the heavyweight has been dethroned by this latest offering. Two of my absolute favorite emcees. xander. feat. Kijan Boone, Torey D'Shaun and Childlike CiCi - "WHO THE ONE" Boston native xander. teamed up with independent rapper Kijan Boone, indie tribe.’s Torey D’Shuan and Capitol CMG’s Childlike CiCi for a horn-smothered CHH anthem. The producer and vocalist xander. strives to handcraft an immersive and innovative melodic scenery both expansive and inclusive in every effort. Through his own live instrumentation and ideas, xander.’s brilliant additional of finely tuned trumpets add a jazzy presence to the booming 808’s and percussion filler. Enter in Boone handling the energetic hook throughout and the first layer of bars followed by lyrical genius from Childlike CiCi and ending with D’Shaun’s unique contributions.
