Each week, dozens of singles and a handful of projects are released in the Christian Hip-Hop (CHH) and Urban Soul spaces. Below, we have listed a few highlights and included the rest for your review. As always, follow our New Christian Rap and Hip-Hop playlist on Spotify and Apple Music to listen to all the latest.

Sober Minded by Braille and YP aka Young Paul
Sober Minded brings together two seasoned emcees from opposite coasts — Braille (Portland, OR) and YP aka Young Paul (New York City) - in a collaboration that fuses classic boom bap energy with spiritual depth and street realism. The album’s title captures its heartbeat: a call to clarity, discipline, and faith in a world clouded by pride, confusion, and distraction. Over Braille’s raw, cinematic production, the two trade verses that balance conviction and vulnerability — from the street parables of “Prowler” to the self-reflection of “Helium.”

Each track feels handcrafted, shaped by years of experience and sharpened perspective. Together, Braille and YP channel the grit of their respective cities while pointing to something higher — offering an album that’s both head-nodding and heart-awakening. This is a very different style from Handcrafted Raps, more downtempo with gritty rhymes and texture.

Favorites include “Bold Preachers,” “Ol’ Heads,” and “Thief.” When a legend such as Braille teams up with the modernized gritty rapper YP, a special chemistry is born. Listening to both exchange verses is an ode to boom-bap, classic hip-hop regardless of the decade. Stream Sober Minded on Spotify here.

Steven Malcolm feat. Futuristic - "Spatula"
Grand Rapids native signed to 4 Against 5, Steven Malcolm teams up with legendary Indie Amplify’s Futuristic for an energetic pinnacle of a track. The vibe of the single has me reason for summer vibes or bust into a Christian club. Parts of my body that I didn’t know could move in a rhythmic manner were thrashing all around throughout. One of my favorite portions of the song arrive near the end, “God took my hand and never let it go / I could be dead but Jesus said NO!,” rhymes Malcolm. I absolutely love the energy felt from the track. The verses from Futuristic are relevant and add kindly to Malcolm’s talented skill set. This may prove to be one of my top five favorite tracks from 2026. Stream “SPATULA” on Spotify and Apple Music.

Ty Brasel - "Lord & Savior freestyle"
Ty Brasel has always occupied a unique space in CHH, blending a distinct "ethereal" sonic palette with the raw, rhythmic pulse of Memphis trap. His latest drop feels like a deliberate nod to his roots while showcasing the polished technicality he’s refined over the TYTANIUM era. At just under two minutes, this track doesn't waste a second. True to its "freestyle" title, it lacks a traditional verse-chorus-verse structure, opting instead for a continuous, high-octane flow that feels like a spiritual outpouring. The production is vintage Ty: lo-fi synth pads and skittering hi-hats that create a dreamy, almost atmospheric backdrop. It’s the kind of beat that allows his voice—alternating between a melodic "sing-rap" and a staccato, rapid-fire delivery—to become the primary instrument.

The most impressive part of the freestyle is the tempo shift mid-track. Brasel transitions from a slow, introspective mumble to a blistering "triple-time" flow without losing clarity. It serves as a reminder that while he’s evolved into a melodic artist, his technical rapping ability remains elite. Stream “Lord & Savior freestyle” on
