Each week, dozens of singles and a handful of projects are released in the Christian Hip-Hop (CHH) and Urban Soul spaces. Below, we have listed a few highlights and included the rest for your review. As always, follow our New Christian Rap and Hip-Hop playlist on Spotify and Apple Music to listen to all the latest.

unplugged, Vol. 2 by nobigdyl.
The founder of the indie tribe collective, nobigdyl., just released the second volume of his ‘unplugged’ album series. The live performance took place on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Analog Nashville. The show included a nine-piece band, no backing tracks, and live vocals along with live samples too. The 14-track project includes fan favorites, deep cuts, and some of dyl.’s absolute favorites from his career. The series has become such a success, tickets for volume three have already sold out this past week online which will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at The MIL in Nashville.

Favorites include “Tribe on the Move/Pulp Fiction (unplugged),” Go With The Ghost 2005 (unplugged).” and “Leave It To God (unplugged).” This project reminds me of the gems mTV used to put out with their “Unplugged Series” from the past few decades. Lauryn Hill’s 2002 performance is one I still listen to on the regular. Under the direction of Frank C. Phillips, fans are treated to a new perspective on many of fan favorite tracks such as “Loved (unplugged)” or Lighter Fluid (unplugged).”

The album is not just a straightforward live recording; it's a re-imagining of dyl.'s music, stripping back the hip-hop production to showcase the songs' core melodies, lyrical depth, and his vocal performance with a live, acoustic band. Following the successful 'unplugged, vol. 1', this second volume solidifies the "unplugged" concept as a compelling part of his discography.

If you are a fan of nobigdyl.'s sharp lyricism and authentic faith, or if you simply appreciate live music that successfully bridges hip-hop with organic instrumentation, unplugged, vol. 2 is a worthwhile listen. It’s a testament to the strength of his songwriting that his tracks hold up, and in some cases even gain emotional resonance, when the hard-hitting beats are traded for a live acoustic sound. Stream unplugged, vol. 2 on Spotify here.

Mogli the Iceburg - "Counting My Days"
One of the original members of the indie tribe collective and the band bødyWash’s frontman, Mogli the Iceburg reactivates “Rap Mogli” for the people. Two years have expired since the last single and an incredible five years have disappeared since the last hip-hop album from the artistic mind of Mogli. We’ve been blessed to catch verses from him on indie tribe collective efforts, however, we’re ready for the solo version once again.

Produced by Sapjer, “Counting My Days” is a retrospective trip into Mogli’s diverse train of thoughts. Dipping down memory lane of times in the past and recounting how quickly his child is growing, Mogli engaged in trusting God with a leap of faith artistically. The track relates to everyday people and how valuable time is and how timeless memories become as the older we become. I love the rock elements intertwined through too. His eclectic discography dates back over a decade (2014). Stream “Counting My Days" on
Spotify and Apple Music.

Datin feat. Tev - "Ain't Hard to Find"
Menace Movement/God Over Money’s Datin drops his fourth single of 2025. “Ain’t Hard To Find” is a bold anthem for believers who refuse to hide their faith. Over hard-hitting production, Datin rallies the body of Christ to stand unashamed and unafraid to represent Jesus in a world that’s lost its way. With a chant-driven hook declaring “We ain’t hard to find, we outside!”, the record captures the fearless energy of a generation of Christians ready to take the Gospel beyond church walls and into the streets. This isn’t just a song, it’s a call to action, reminding every believer that light belongs in the darkness. As always, shout out to Doc Watson and RMG Amplify for the detailed press release summarization of the single.

Stream “Ain’t Hard To Find” on
Spotify and Apple Music.
