Each week, dozens of singles and a handful of projects are released in the Christian Hip-Hop (CHH) and Urban Soul spaces. Below, we have listed a few highlights and included the rest for your review. As always, follow our New Christian Rap and Hip-Hop playlist on Spotify and Apple Music to listen to all the latest.
VIDA EP by Brenno RMG Amplify’s Brenno is a Brazilian-born artist, songwriter, rapper and creative known for blending diverse, multicultural (English, Portuguese) lyrics and themes into his music. Brenno is respected for his hard-hitting bars to flowing melodical choruses all focused on giving God all the glory deserved. He’s been creating music since 2020 in his late teenage years; however, the VIDA EP is his debut project. Previously, he did release two mixtapes with K Diamond in 2022 and 2023 respectfully.
VIDA is defined as a raw, passionate, and purpose-filled project depicting vivid mindscapes of what life with God truly looks like in day-to-day life experienced. The project captures the realness of walking with Christ from the valleys, struggles, and desperation to the highs, mountain tops, and joyful victories. Regardless of how difficult the life of a Christian may be, it’s value and worth are priceless with eternal ramifications.
Featured artists include Marty, Canon, Taylor Wells, Don Ready, and Brazilian powerhouse Brunno Ramos; each bringing their unique voice and talents to a project rooted in hope, redemption, and authenticity. Andrew Prim, Eli Williams, Kenneth Akridge, and ScottyC teamed up for the production credits. Personal favorites include “Last Supper” featuring Canon, “JESUS!” featuring Brunno Ramos, and “Still Good” featuring Don Ready.
The VIDA EP is an intense example of Brenno’s rhyming skill set and God’s goodness. Stream the EP on Spotify here.
Butterflies EP by Jon Keith The man, the myth, the legend, Alienz Alive/indie tribe collective’s Jon Keith remains in his pop and R&B-drenched lane with the latest release under the header of “BUTTERFLIES.” The track “Start Again” is a song about baptism produced by the iconic Enzo Gran. Keith’s artistry prowess is undeniable. He has hits in a multitude of genres bouncing between hip-hop, pop, Rhythm and Blues or anything melodic and downright catchy. The 90s feel and vibe is crazy infectious to the ears and heart forcing repeat listens.
Three additional tracks followed with features from Sam Rivera, taylor charmayne, and Lani Rose. The project serves as an in between appetizer between June’s release of Grow Wings and Keith’s next album release. The EP honors Keith’s flexibility, creativity, and diverse sound. He’s not just a rapper, but so much more. Stream the Butterflies EP on Spotify here.
Dee-1 and Pastor Mike, Jr. - "Grateful" Mission Vision Music and RMG Amplify’s Dee-1 teamed up with Stellar Award-winning singer, songwriter, and artist Pastor Mike Jr. to create one of the smoothest, yet most relatable anthems of 2025. The track combines the transparent and raw story of Dee-1’s gratitude journey with Pastor Mike Jr.’s joyful, triumphant tone of victory. Out of the gate, the song resembles a certain “timeless” component and feel. Essentially, the track is a testimony of gratitude from Dee-1 along with confirmation by Pastor Mike Jr.’s soulful harmonious responses. This is definitely one of those tracks I’ll have “on repeat” for several weeks at a time, especially during a month focused on thankfulness. Stream “Grateful” on Spotify and Apple Music.
