Each week, dozens of singles and a handful of projects are released in the Christian Hip-Hop (CHH) and Urban Soul spaces. Below, we have listed a few highlights and included the rest for your review. As always, follow our New Christian Rap and Hip-Hop playlist on Spotify and Apple Music to listen to all the latest.
Run tha Funk Back For a Good Time by Eddy Puyol Miami-born Cuban American Eddy Puyol set to release his third project under his government name as opposed to the first 16 years of his musical career under Rawsrvnt. Run tha Funk Back For a Good Time is an interstellar trip back in time to the 1970s and the era of Funk (think George Clinton, Parliament, Ohio Players, etc.). Eight tracks are included with a few remixes, reimagined tracks and new material scattered throughout. Featured artists include Doctor Dukes, Lil Raskull, and DJ Reflex.
“This project is more than music,” says Puyol. “It’s a revival of soul, rhythm, and celebration. I wanted this project to honor the classics, nod to my roots, and still hit hard enough for today’s speakers. It’s faith. It’s funk. It’s a good time.”

Steven Malcolm feat. Carly Ann Davis - "Safe and Sound (In Your Love)" Grand Rapids, Michigan and 4 Against 5’s Steven Malcolm teams up with Curb’s Carly Ann Taylor for the latest single titled, “Safe and Sound (In Your Love).” The track was produced by Dayme and additional vocals are present from SPLASH OF SODA. The trials and tribulations swirling in our minds combined with the difficulties of daily life, personal and emotional “storms” are never absent of the peace and protection God provides through His everlasting love. The track is a pleasant reminder of the security Proverbs 18:10 speaks of calling out our Lord as our strong tower to seek out safety from the difficulties of daily life.
Taylor controlled the hook and added a few own personal touches to the track while Malcolm’s diverse delivery shines switching back-n-forth between melodies and bars. Malcolm and I joked often how underrated his lyricism is as too many times fans miss phenomenal messages. Increasingly often, the theme of interlocking worship-driven music with hip-hop is happening and to God be the Glory! I’m here for all of it! Stream “Safe and Sound (In Your Love)” on Spotify and Apple Music.
Kidd Lee - "Bring the Light" Wilmington, North Carolina-born hip-hop artist Kidd Lee released her fourth solo single of 2025. She’s been on a handful of featured verses and dropped an incredible album (Restoration). The latest single, “Bring the Light” is based off scripture found in Romans 15:13 referring to being filled with hope and joy. A soulful sample throughout, Lee bounces back between a fast tempo cadence and a few harmonies laced within. It’s a near perfect union between hip-hop and worship music. The guitar and drums steal the production highlights. Stream “Bring the Light” on Spotify and Apple Music.
