Each week, dozens of singles and a handful of projects are released in the Christian Hip-Hop (CHH) and Urban Soul spaces. Below, we have listed a few highlights and included the rest for your review. As always, follow our New Christian Rap and Hip-Hop playlist on Spotify and Apple Music to listen to all the latest.
Ty Brasel - "My Offering" Independent and Memphis-raised artist Ty Brasel returns with another single titled, “My Offering.” The track was co-produced by Brasel and iconic producer Chris “Dirty Rice” Mackey. "My Offering" is a soulful anthem for every person of faith that is walking through hard times but still deciding to serve God with their life despite their pain. The hook is driven by choir vocals and a powerful and catchy statement of full devotion to God no matter the circumstances. I love it when styles of music are married in harmonious beauty. Brasel slows things down in adoration of his devotion to our God. Worship and hip-hop collide without hesitation to give reverence to our Lord and Savior. Stream “My Offering” on Spotify and Apple Music.
Aklesso - "Prodigal!" Newly signed Alienz Alive artist Aklesso drops a surefire hit on the iconic Rodney Jerkins’ powerhouse label. This is his first new music of 2025 and since the Lonely EP dropped in November. The track is produced by the one and only Enzo Gran. This is the first single off the forthcoming project titled, Still Lonely. Aklesso spits, “got no time for logical” during the hook. His art is anything but logical. Constant tempo changes. Erratic rhyme schemes. Energy throughout. ‘Klesso is one of the most unique voices and talents in the CHH space. Fans must protect him at all costs. Also, pay attention. He puts a reverse spin on the biblical parable about the prodigal son. Creativity at its finest. Stream “Prodigal!” on Spotify and Apple Music.
Corey Paul - "Genesis 2 (Adam and Eve)" West Creative Collective’s Corey Paul releases the fourth single of 2025 based on the book of Genesis, the story of Adam and Eve. He provides a fitting verbal overview of the track focus within the audio visualizer for the song on YouTube. Listeners will be hearing scripture in hip-hop form. “Genesis 2” transitions from the wide lens of earthly attributes such as light, dark, animals, land, and the bodies of water, then focuses on the close-up, definitive creation of man and woman. The masterpiece brings to life Adam from dust. Eve wasn’t considered an afterthought but God’s final work of art, fashioned with intention to stand beside Adam – not beneath him. Paul walks us through Genesis 2:4-25. He encourages fans to not just listen to the track, but to open their bible and read from Genesis 2 themselves to discover what God speaks to those who seek. Stream “Genesis 2” on Spotify and Apple Music.
Joshua Galla is an audiophile hyped about all forms of art in music, but his passion rests behind CHH and soulful vibes. He's a devout husband, father, and child of God. Concerts are his happy place. He has been an NRT contributor since 2016.
