Each week, dozens of singles and a handful of projects are released in the Christian Hip-Hop (CHH) and Urban Soul spaces. Below, we have listed a few highlights and included the rest for your review. As always, follow our New Christian Rap and Hip-Hop playlist on Spotify and Apple Music to listen to all the latest.
outr.cty feat. Selah the Corner and Dre Murray - "Testin' Your Luck" Atlanta-based and UNTLD CULTR collective’s own outr.cty drops his third solo single of 2025. The track features former God Over Money artist Selah the Corner and CHH veteran Dre Murray. Production-wise, this single is probably one of my favorites (no cap)! An exuberant soundscape meshing across decades and genres. Part funk, part psychedelic, part trap, and all incredible! The horns are the MVP by far. DJLC flexed his audio-driven muscles as the overall producer.
Personally, he had the following to share about the track, "This song is my response to the way people hide behind religion while chasing money and status instead of true faith. I wanted to challenge how society has watered down the image of Jesus, reminding folks of the real sacrifice He made and what it actually means to follow Him. Sonically, it blends a soulful 70s funk sample with hard-hitting drums, giving it a raw yet groovy feel that matches the weight of the message." Stream “Testin’ Your Luck” on Spotify and Apple Music.
Tragic Hero and Taelor Gray - "Stretch Marks" Hometown Hero Music Group’s Tragic Hero calls upon independent lyricist (and pastor) Taelor Gray for a surefire hit. Wes Pendleton perfected the production assignment, as usual, as he’s done multiple times for each artist respectively. Each seasoned artist trade analytical verses which reflect the trials and difficulties of modern-day life; especially as diverse, multi-cultural citizens. The hook is downright catchy and hum-worthy long after the track concludes. The single also signifies a preview of the fourth coming album fully produced by Pendleton. This will be Tragic’s first album dropped in a decade. Stream “Stretch Marks” on Spotify and Apple Music.
Let It Be by Roy Tosh Don’t stress about someday or somewhere—what we really have is right now. RMG Amplify’s Roy Tosh released his first project of 2025. Let It Be is a call to live present and unshaken in a world full of noise, fear, and distraction. Rooted in Jesus’ words from Matthew 6:25-34, Tosh invites listeners to rest in the arms of a loving Savior, trust God fully, and walk boldly in their purpose. For everything else? Let it be.
Favorites include “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright” featuring PEABOD, “Right Now” featuring Morgan Coblentz, and “Price Tags.” Production assignments were handled by WEARETHEGOOD (Wes Writer, Quinten Coblentz) and Marcus Ramsey. Tosh added his own contributions too as he gains comfort in various soundscapes. The entire project just” feels good” cementing smiles on all listeners.
