Each week, dozens of singles and a handful of projects are released in the Christian Hip-Hop (CHH) and Urban Soul spaces. Below, we listen to a few highlights and list the rest for your own discovery. As always, follow our New Christian Rap & Hip Hop playlist on Spotify and Apple Music to listen to all the latest.
TYTANIUM 2 by Ty Brasel RMG Amplify’s Ty Brasel releases the sequel to 2024’s TYTANIUM. Now fully independent and working aside the likes of Amplify, Brasel expresses this project as his absolute favorite to date. After one listen to the entire project, I understand why. Each of the included 11 tracks hits different. The transparent nature of most songs provides a feeling of refreshment and renewal. Iconic producer Dirty Rice helped co-produce the project along with a few additional masterminds of sound. Features included are Torey D’Shaun, Vennisay, De La Cruz, ELI MONTANNA, Nelohim, and nobigdyl.
Recognized favorites are “Most High 3” featuring nobigdyl., “2 Major” featuring Torey D’Shaun, and “Losses 2 Lessons” featuring ELI MONTANNA. Brasel slides with ease through possessing a certain sense of spiritual relaxation. Listeners can pinpoint Brasel’s love for the art, the creative nature, and just to be making music again.

J. Monty - "City On My Back" Independent rapper J. Monty returns with his first single of 2025. Based on Matthew 16:24, J. Monty explains how Jesus equipped everything on his back cleansing the people of their sins. Their downfalls, their afflictions, their struggles, essentially the entire city and cities worldwide all because of His Love for God’s children. It’s a beautiful message of affection, sacrifice, and devotion with under two weeks left before Easter Sunday. As usual, J. Monty’s perfection of wordplay, rhyme schemes, and delivery should always be celebrated. Stream “City on His Back” on Spotify and Apple Music.
Braille - "Ghost"
Iconic artist Braille returns with his first single of a forth coming concept project with producer 1995. The track plays off the idea of being "ghosted" by someone. Braille has experienced this feeling too often in ministry, music and some situations in between. After numerous occurances, it's difficult to not take personal. It's just one of the battle scars to love on people and open up in vulnerable situations, however, God calls us to do such often. Even with all the success 95 has had teaming up with DJ Mykael V for the Bodega series, this level of production is my absolute favorite from him. Stream "Ghost" on Spotify and Apple Music.
