Journey Worship Co is a group of musicians from The Journey Church in Lebanon, TN.  They each have a heart for the Lord which together makes for a powerful team led by God to create worship. They recently released their first album, titled "Volume One (Live)" and below, we dive into two songs off this record.

This song has a beautiful way of reminding us our Savior doesn't desire glamour, He only longs for our heart. The repetitive chorus singing "Jesus, Jesus/Precious Jesus" is a simple yet powerful cry of worship. I've seen many people get carried away with the technicality of praise when all we really have to do is open our mouths and sing. The most exquisite performance in God's eyes is a child singing His name with a spirit of awe. It's the heart that counts; I challenge you to check up on the depth of your desire as you praise Him this week. One day, the whole world will shout praise to our Heavenly Father. Are you ready?

2 Corinthians 5:7 says "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." I felt led to focus this song devotional on identity, a broad topic I can't possibly cover in its entirety, but one I can easily summarize. You are a child of the most high God. We are not defined by this world, it is just our temporary home. For those in school, you are not defined by your grades and for those working, you are not defined by your job. We are defined by God; in Him and only Him is our identity. Come to the Lord if you've lost hope, if you've forgotten this truth. He loves to remind His children of their worth and you'll love receiving His Word.
