Reestablished indie artist J. Monty returns after a 2-year hiatus with some of his most profound art to date. One of ATL’s (Georgia) finest offers a 7-track project which may seem short in length but presents as complete in content. J. Monty’s classic unique flow and delivery, once again, draw the fans into his personal struggles, impressive wordplay, and God’s fingerprints plastered on the life of himself and his beloved family.
Standout tracks include “Mr. Repo” featuring World 45’s Parris Chariz, “God Thing,” and “Paint the Truth” featuring 4Against5’s Ty Brasel. As usual, J. Monty exposes self through transparency, raw emotion, and storytelling at its finest. In a smothered space of CHH where thousands of artists dominate the sub-genre, J. Wande - "BiG GOD"
Reach Records’ first lady Wande returns just in time for summer with an anthem for the streets. “BIG GOD” honors our Lord and Savior and just how massive his love is for all people and His influence on Wande’s life directly. She’s been a tad quiet in 2021 releasing this as her third single and only doing two features with Miles Minnick and soulful artist DOE. Wande’s building up her personal entrepreneurship with WIN BRAND / WIN GANG. This could tease as a busy second half of 2021? This track accents how easily she can handcraft hits with her picture-perfect pocket presence and spitfire flow giving fans signs of Blande. Up and coming producer WOW ELI handled this track with ease and near perfection. Love the adlibs and soundscape of strong 808s combined with a string-laced electronic sound. Jekasole feat. JUSTCALLMEDT - "LOW LOW"
Indie multi-talented female artist Jekasole is back with her debut single of 2021 titled, “LOW LOW” featuring JUSTCALLMEDT. She displays her top-tier talents of harmonizing and rapping. Both Florida natives, the duo present a summer heater for the upcoming months. The track speaks to maintaining our blessings from God while praising Him for the positive effects instead of trying to own such momentum as our own. Also, not to sidestep our purpose and follow God’s Word all the way to heaven. The production is definitely a vibe. The instrumentation is tight and rides smoothly with the lyrical content.
