We're nearing the first quarter of 2021. And, already, there have been many tremendous releases from Christian-based rock and metal artists: debuts, sophomores, you name it. And, as always, we, at NewReleaseToday, will keep you in the loop on all Christian rock and metal news and views. Speaking of which, here's our most recent rock recap.
The Midnight Wedding - Anthem For The Outcast
The Midnight Wedding's full-length debut album, Anthem For The Outcast, is one of the year's most anticipated Christian rock releases. This impressive record has a balanced mix of hard rock and melodic songs. As I said in my review, I highly recommend this album to anyone looking for new Christian-based rock music.
Lacey Sturm - "State of Me"
Lacey Sturm is well known for having positive messages in her hard rock music. "State of Me," her second single since her debut solo record, Life Screams, is a call to rise above life's difficult circumstances. The song is similar to Lacey's previous single, "The Decree," while presenting a sound that is reminiscent of early Flyleaf days. These two singles from Lacey are promising high expectations for her second full-length album in the, hopefully, near future.
Anberlin - More To Living Than Being Alive
In 2020, Anberlin started doing live stream concerts, recording their performances in full. They're currently going through their discography, one show at a time. Their most popular record, Cities, was played through relatively recently and the mixed version of the performance is live now. It's refreshing to listen to slightly different versions of these songs, while we wait for new material.
