Metal Mondays is a new series that will highlight new Christian rock and metal music releases. From singles to full-length albums, we're bringing you new music from bands you might already love and new artists that you might love after hearing someone here.
Fireflight - Who We Are (Single) Fireflight is a well-known name in the Christian rock scene, much like fellow Christian rock bands Disciple or The Letter Black. They will be releasing their sixth studio album titled Who We Are: The Head and the Hearton October 23 through Rockfest Records. "Who We Are" is the newest single for the album and presents high expectations, thanks to its empowering lyrics and the iconic Fireflight style of rock music we love. I love the lyric "We were born to be the love they see/It's up to you and me, you and me." Check out the awesome music video, directed by Joel Burris.
Everything In Slow Motion - Influence (Album) One of the most beloved bands on the Facedown Records label is Everything In Slow Motion. Their highly anticipated, second studio album Influence released on October 16. This band, led by Shane Oschner, formerly of the band Hands, is nothing short of emotive. Every ounce of passion is poured into Everything In Slow Motion, one of the very first Christian based post-metal bands. Then It Ends - Restored (Album) Fans of the Christian metal community have a term that is seldom used appropriately - "Preachcore." It basically means metal music that has very evident Christian lyrics and purpose. Former iconic bands like Sleeping Giant and For Today are great examples. Along with just a couple of others today, the band Then It Ends is stepping into this scene proudly. Their first full-length album, Restored released October 2. I love everything about these guys and their music. Check them out for Holy Spirit-filled metalcore music.
