On June 25, 2021, Phil Wickham released his eighth album, Hymn Of Heaven. Encompassing 13 songs, including his multiple-week No. 1 hit "Battle Belongs," the project is the follow-up to his 2018 release Living Hope, which features the RIAA Gold®-certified single and GMA Dove Award for "Worship Recorded Song of the Year" of the same name.

Phil is no stranger to creating music embraced by the global church. He has breathed several new worship anthems into worshippers' hearts over the years and we explore a set list of Phil Wickham songs for any essential fan.

"Battle Belong" from Hymn Of Heaven (2021)

Phil's newest release promises to add to his essentials setlist and continue his soaring career that has spanned 14 years. The first single from the release, "Battle Belongs" is another all-out war cry of God's power in our weakness. Almighty fortress/You go before us/Nothing can stand against the power of our God/You shine in the shadows/You win every battle/Nothing can stand against the power of our God

"Til I Found You" from Living Hope (2018)

Has there ever been a more accessible and honest worship song penned? I never knew anything lasts forever/Till I found You/I never dreamed anything could be better/Till I found you/You rewrited my story/And I'm brand new like a morning" It's a track that produces watery eyes, wobbly knees and an incredibly grateful heart with every single listen.

"Your Love Awakens Me" from Children of God (2016)

By far the most popular track from 2016's Children of God, "Your Love Awakens Me" is classic praise from Phil Wickham, with a driving chorus and lyrics that are impossible to sing without a great, big smile on your face.

"This is Amazing Grace" from The Ascension (2013)

It's hard to believe that The Ascension found Phil 9 albums deep into a decade-long career and it took this rousing instant classic to give Phil the most popular track of his entire career to date and his first No. 1 at radio. It's has since been streamed hundreds of millions of times. The Ascension marked songs inspired by passages found in the book of Psalms. The track was penned with the help of producer Pete Kipley (MercyMe, Matthew West), and instantly landed the No. 1 spot on multiple radio charts (Christian AC Monitored and Christian AC Indicator).

"Messiah" / "You're Beautiful" from Sing-A-Long 2  (2012)

Phil has always embraced the stripped-down versions of his songs, frequently posting versions of his highly produced music with just a vocal mic and a guitar. That style is on display on his Sing-A-Long series, now in its fourth volume. It's Phil, a guitar and a room full of voices singing his music and worship hits. On the second volume, Phil included this popular track from his 2007 album, Canons.

"At Your Name (Yahweh, Yahweh)" from Response (2011)

A simple worship chorus that found its way into Sunday morning services everywhere, this anthem is a must on any Phil Wickham essentials playlist. Yahweh, Yahweh/We love to shout your name/Oh Lord

"Because of Your Love" from Heaven & Earth (2009)

Easily one of the best albums to release in the past two decades, the under-appreciated Heaven & Earth is a concept worship album that contains some of Phil's most beautiful and intimate writing. "Because Of Your Love" talks about the amazing freedoms and grace that we share all because God gave His life for us. It's the greatest sacrifice and love we will ever encounter!

"Cannons" from Cannons (2007)

"Cannons" is one of the first songs that put Phil Wickham on every worship leader's map and gave him "worship anthem" status. In 2007, Phil released the soaring and beautiful chorus singing "You are holy/Great and mighty/The moon and the stars/Declare who you are/I'm so unworthy/But still you love me/Forever my heart will sing of you." It remains the second most popular track from the album after "Messiah / You're Beautiful."
