I really enjoyed Run Kid Run's first album. It obviously had more of a pop/punk feel to it and it was slightly cliche and mediocre, but I still loved it. They got me on my feet, happily singing and dancing. That's something I definitely give them credit for with their freshman release. "Love At The Core", however, is a gigantic step up! I absolutely loved it from the moment their first single ("Captives Come Home") was released, I was amazed. Now the more I hear, the more I love. They are so much more mature, but still give me the great feeling they gave me before. While many bands fail with their second attempt at a successful album, I believe whole-heartedly that Run Kid Run had done something fresh, new and different. Not only are they talented musicians, they are amazing men of God and they don't try to hide it. This is something that makes me proud to have seen them develop into the group they are today. Their music and lyrics have challenged me in my faith and helped be through a few rough spots in my life. They are truly inspiring and I cannot wait to see them in concert so I can't tell all of this to them in person.
